Indeed. But after five variants already exist, there's only so much you can do and still have it feel at all like a SHD.

I mean, gray death legion mechs, what could go wrong... but those pics look really ininspired

I think the texture quality on those images are at the lowest settings because of a weak GPU.

Why is it on Reddit first, but not here?
Shouldn't that be the other way around?

- Last week PGI releases Nov Road map stating a new pair of Hero mechs are to be released on the 18th (2 weeks time)
- Forums are a buzz speculating and discussing what they could be: GDL pair favored
- 1 week before the release, a leak posts the first hero mech with ECM / source is rumored to be a known leak source
Theory: PGI approved of the leak in order for them to judge how good/bad a ECM Hero Locust mech is received. With plausible deniability, if the community reaction is overly negative, they could state the locust was never intended to carry ECM.
Side benefit: Reaction by the community of an ECM equipped Hero mech could be used as a bellwether of the current state of ECM balance post BAP buff.

I figure the Locust is pretty obvious on how to build it, but the Shawk will make an excellent AC20 carrier. Put 4 MLs on the arms and you've got a right beastly mech.
I have to say I agree on the Shadow Hawk. AC/20, 4MLs, AC/20 range module, ML range module and it is going to be very solid.

LCT-1M
SRM4's (2T each), representing either 1 MPL or 2 SPL/ML, with the SL representing Machineguns and the BAP representing the ECM.
Will be perfectly viable imo.

It's certainly viable, it's just insanely boring.

And the GI is a shameful 'Mech anyways. They really just need to release the 4N as those 5 hardpoints (1B, 2M, 2E) in one location would be interesting. As for the Shawk, other than the extra beams, which I do like, it is really nothing special.

What would be fun about this locust is fitting four flamers, 2mgs and ecm into a fast light for some great critting. Or as i have been after for a while a locust that can take a STD engine and four medium lasers as locusts side torso's last all of 20 seconds usually.

(just pretend the BAP is the ECM and the AMS and ammo represents the Machineguns and obviously swap all the things around to suit the new hardpoints.)
