How cheap is to come here after being owned by a light mech and tell everybody " this mech is op"...
There is a maximum in every game estabilishing: "Big risk = Big reward".
I encourage you to take that light mech without ECM and pure 130m range and see how you perform... that mech is ok (underperforming before) but behind that mech, usually, there is a very skilled pilot.

I couldn't have said it better than that.

I challenge anyone here to demonstrate how OP this mech is by showing us screenies of THEM playing it, not just of them getting owned by a better pilot. Is the mech really OP... show me!

I couldn't agree more, I feel like players that have the best perspective to judge whether something is overpowered are the players who are wildly successful using it. If Adiuvo said the FS9-A was overpowered now it would hold a lot more weight to me than HadesTrooper complaining about getting killed by Adiuvo.

If a light 'mech with sub 150m range seems OP, it's because hit reg is broken, not the 'mech. I'm getting tired of seeing Firestarters dance in and out of the entire enemy team and coming out with 80% armor or better. A single light vs a single assault should be the light's fight to lose (meaning a good light pilot ought to win every time) but a single light against 4 assaults and 3 heavies should just go splat.

Also, to people commenting on how they see (while in spectator mode) most people just unable to aim, you probably don't see things as they actually happen. I've been spectating many times and see whoever I'm watching miss every shot, but still kill the enemy 'mech.

Thank you.. I LOL'd at an OP light mech thread ;)

I went toe to toe with one of these Firestarters in my Locust 3M today I have 4x SPL, 5xSHS and stock 160 engine (still working it up) and I murdered it... OP my tush... Aww hell now I guess that makes my little Locust OP :(

Just because you get killed by something doesn't mean it's OP...

Again, it's not accurate as to what they're actually looking at. Movement, the actual aiming, is rendered just fine though. You can tell a person has garbage aim when they're shifting wildly, failing to account for dips/humps in the terrain etc..

Given how garbage most people are at aiming whenever I spectate, I honestly don't believe the general populace when they claim something has broken hitboxes. Especially when in high level play these hitbox issues seem to magically disappear.

I guess all the high level players just have better internet or something...

I don't think the Firestarter is OP, but hitreg issues definitely lead to a much greater survivability.

83 Point Alpha in a firestarter who was running in a straight line towards me....only orange armor...83 points should of breached it and probably destroyed it. It further goes on too remove my auto cannon because due too my ping not even counting the hit box issue I can not seem too hit it, leading does not work either.

This made me laugh so hard. You're complaining that your 83 point OP Alpha didn't instantly wipe out a light mech. one moment please...

So how's that working out Russ?
