Not long now til the Timbies' hit boxes get fixed.

If history is to be believed, how very true. Squeeze every nickel they can from the users under false build pretenses then nerf the crap out of it. Typical PGI bait and switch scenario.

Start supporting the game like the rest of us and you do not have to worry about it. I mastered mine long ago and have enjoyed the crap out of them. For those that wait many months for the cbill versions, I have little sympathy for them: you get what you pay for.

Yup, make people think they got something that's overpowered and it's gonna stay that way, while also maintaining that Mechs are going to get tuning passes.

That way you disappoint only the short-sighted people. That's such an evil plan, I love it! Go PGI! I love seeing short-sighted, aggressive video gamers getting the carpet pulled out from under them like that.

It's just too bad that this plan doesn't cause the normal people to get disappointed... that would be much eviler. Oh well.

Are rediculous conspiracy theories like this the reason why you are no longer a volunteer moderator?

The TBR Builds I see running around are ... well.. scary.

How about a TBR Prime with 1 SRM6, 1 LRM10. 1 MG. A random bunch of lasers. All bound to key "1" (It displayed properly as he always fired SRMs, MG and Small Lasers at Targets not even his LRMs could hit.)

I've bought all the packs, and I have a slightly different point of view. I'd prefer the Mechs I bought to be working correctly from the outset. I don't want or need to be exploiting broken hitboxes for the couple of months up to the point where they become available for CBills.

In an ideal situation, I would agree, but balance in a game like this just does not work that way. They have been adjusting them quite frequently lately, but it is virtually impossible to have anything come out perfectly balanced, especially in an online PvP system.

For instance, the Dire Wolf had a serious CT issue, and they fixed it quite quickly. They also have adjusted the Clan weapons far more than I think any of us like. They have adjusted JJs, heat, engines, etc.

They are working on it continuously, and it is not like they are waiting for the warranty to expire and then flipping a "nerf" switch the next day. The fact is that they just get tons more data once the "rabble" start piloting the mechs en masse, which makes it easier to get those final tweaks in place.

With the new quirks for IS, and the S torso nerf, plus the past experience with the DWF (I was really surprised they were left untouched, good job!) I hardly see PGI nerfing them, rather they are going to be T1 whenever clan mechs will get quirks and get no buffs.

Also, basically any clan mech is more dependant on weapons buff/nerf for its own perfomance, other then the too slow for the tonnage nova, which still got a great buff with the new slas (thankfully, as he is the only real mech to be able to boat slas, so they are like quirks and it doesn't break balance for other clan mechs, great job here too!) as much as the clan weapons are good any 55+ tonner clan mech is going to do well. Even the underrated Summoner, that might suffer from fixed JJs but has amazing hitboxes as well.

Hey there guys I'm a new timber wolf pilot and was just wondering if you had any tips on piloting it better, I'm trying to master a heavy mech my next category will be assault but for now I've mastered one in Light(Locust) and medium(Hunchback), I'm mostly suited to fast mechs but I'm trying to get good in most fields of combat, The Timberwolf is proving challenging(the prime's good the other two are difficult to figure out, Clan srms build heat like crazy even when fired separately) to pilot but I obey most combat rules in MechWarrior, I provide support wherever I can to my teammates I even use my mech to shield them from enemy fire if they're legged.

so if you have any tips on heavys in general the information would be appreciated.

Well, having observed the timing over the course of two years, that is certainly how it appears.
