Government says some folks here drink too much. It's pretty much dark and cold atm, so that has caused higher suicide rates then other EU countries on average. Public healthcare and social services work somewhat ok, so basic needs are taken care of, but usually people needing those do have major problems. The usual employment issues for the youth are concerning ppl that are thinking about the future of our nation, so some major problems might come later. Oh oh and the sanctions against the Russia are also causing some worries, because we export a lot there and that might over time cause major problems to people working in industry depending strongly on that. Swedes always beat us in sports and that also could be considered a major problem. Also we have low self esteem, but that could also be blamed on the swedes for beating us, luckily we have been doing ok in ice hockey world championships (if only there was "pesäpallo" world championship, then we would at least be second behind Sweden). Our national Pisa scores have been dropping as the asians are getting in front of us, specially in maths, so people responsible of the schooling system are having major problems figuring out how to fix that. And what else now that this came up quite unexpectedly? Any eta on a fix?

If you were referring on the connection / ping issue, I think you will get more feedback once folks are back from work / school / woken up.

Just curious, am I hopping the Atlantic then coming back (Teliasonera)?

Wait, is 'bhs-g1-6k.qc.ca [198.27.73.205]' in France?

I am in PA, USA, FYI, and I still experience lag spikes, HSR issues, and very, very low frame rates (15-25 most of the time; can spike high on fresh boot of machines, but after a game or two, I am back to high teens, low twenties).

I know the machine is not ideal, but on low, and all settings on the graphics card (updated drivers) and what-not, I would expect at least high twenties, low 30's like almost every other game I play on this machine. But, been doing the same thing since open beta started, so good luck...still playing.

Yeah. But it seems to be server specific problems. I'm getting 260 ping to some servers and 160 to others (which should be the 'normal'). Where did I see what server I played on?

All I can say is, if you contact them, I will pray for you. They hold a monopoly on my region. If you want a good laugh(like the "those poor poor ********" type of pity laugh) go to Frontier's Facebook page. If you can do anything to help my 400 ping average(from WI) I will buy some MC as a thank you. My connection is supposed to be the quickest they sell here, I forget if it is 2 or 4 MBPS download, but it is also, sadly, 128k upload. I run ookla tests occasionally, and I get about 20-25% of what I am sold on average, and Frontier tells me on the phone etc when I call that "everything looks good from my our end" and essentially there is no tech support.

So again, if you open this door and don't get swallowed whole by the insane miasma of Frontier, and can do something for me, i would be very thankful for this coming thanksgiving.

P.S.- I am not ultra knowledgable of techy stuff like this, i mean I put my own PC together, but networking is foreign to me. As such, I am a tad leery of posting all these IP things on the net for the world to see. If I have put anything up that would let someone trace back to me, please edit this or tell me so I can alter it.

Tracert shows nothing unusual, ping is stable in other games that have servers located in the us.

Heres my ping over 60 seconds in the game i just played:


Location: Berlin, Germany
ISP: T-Online
Connection: VDSL 50/10 Mbit

This has been going on for weeks now my ping was a bit higher (around 125) but much more stable before you moved to new hardware.

my ping went from 100 - 600 ping, back to what it was 4 weeks ago when it was working, 80ms


see look at this from 3 hours ago.






the route hasn't changed, and i can confirm that its not just ping. my ping in game was like that and it was so laggy there was a 1-2 second delay when i would click zoom. please tell me the change is permanent, and i can keep my ping like it was.

I have not played in a while, but my average ping was always 165-230 varrying. Not any noticable lag problems except hitreg delay and zooming/nightvision toggle delays (and that is really strange and annoying). Well, the 158ms seems ok and it's even lower from what I'm used to in the game (180 average).

less than 12 hours later my ping has increased back to 110 - 120. a sad day indeed it was too good to be true.




you'll notice the highlighted area in my screen shot. the ping doesn't change untill it hits the OVH router/firewall incoming from telia. the one this ticket is opened for.

my traffic shows "nyk" i believe that stands for newark. the router on ovh side is "bhs" which is the Montreal datacenter,

now of course i couldnt find my exact router, because they would need 500+ pages to display everything, but if the naming convention follows reason, the router BHS-G1-A9 is close to the one i resolve on.(BHS-G1-6K)

following the arrows from newark to bhs we see the link is overloaded.

After moving the servers my ping was really good. Since about two weeks it is getting worse again.

I periodically get severe lagging where my ping jumps up anywhere from several hundred to several thousand ms. When my ping is stable and the game is working properly, my ping is in the 90-120 range. Sometimes I have multiple games in a row that are almost unplayable, with moonwalking mechs and rubberbanding.
