Greetings All,

I am running a Timby, I have not changed any of the omni pods (just some of the weaps), I checked the pods in loadout & they all still say 8/8. Is the xp bonus auto added in to the total at the end of the match or is there suppose to be a line stating that the bonus was added?

Just askin'.....

Thank you all.

It should be included in the progress report after a match in the XP tally, however, I haven't checked it as the 2.5% XP bonus is so small there is no reason to keep the pods together; and I have not...

It takes 171,750 XP to master at least three mechs. My average is around 1430 XP/match, so it takes 120 matches to master all three. With the XP bonus that might save me 2-3 matches... not really a significant boost!

(If you care about one chassis only and want to master only one, than you need 64,250 XP to Elite one chassis, or 45 matches for me. 1 match less with the 2.5% XP boost...)

Thanks Great U, yah, I didn't think it was really worth much overall, I tend to be a bit slower at gaining than you, but still, not worth much in the long run. It seems that I could just buy/arrange omnis to get the mech I want without buying 3 vars. but can't get elite w/o 3 vars. The elite perks really helped with my IS mechs, so, just need to save my pennies for 2 more.

When I started playing MWO my average XP was really a lot lower. In the beginning you need to save for the other chassis and practise at the same time. After the stats reset I could more or less buy three of them at once (or use 3 clan mechs I bought) and use the double XP bonus to maximum effect; with the old stats I earned 300 less XP per match. :)

It would appear that I get the xp if I win, but not if I lose....I guess the benefit is only if u win.

That has been observed before. I honestly don't know. The omnipod bonus is such a pittance (I did the math and determined it will save me one match leveling) that I figure I get more out of an optimized set of omnipods and the associated increased performance.
