It can handle 8v8.

We throw 12v12 at it.

We want 36v36.......

Terrible gameplay with current map sizes. Would love to see bigger force compositions though.

What, you mean River City can't handle that volume, and red team would spawn next to blue team?

You have to admit, it would be pretty fun. Once or twice.

LRMs would blot out the sun. The lights would run in packs, killing all before them. Gauss rounds would fly like swarms of hornets. Lasers, worse than any disco.

...it would kind of suck, really.

You would actually see more lights and underused mechs taken with maps large enough to support that size of a battle. Things like scouts and recon forces would have a meaningful use. If you had to plan out coordinated strikes and rely on those fast movers to help you locate and position enemy forces you'd see more than the token lights and mediums taken. LRMs would actually be less useful because you wouldn't see deathballs constantly.

If you've ever played Battlefield series you'll see what I'm talking about. The size of the maps in regards to the human avatars, it can take upwards of a minute to run from your spawn point to a "hot" point on the map without vehicles. If something like that were scaled to our mechs, you'd see less of the 41/kph assault mechs taken because it wouldn't be feasible.

Larger maps and larger force composition would do a lot to add some variety to the stagnation of MWO.

Everyone that peaked out for half a second would get melted with those numbers. it would just be all the heavies and assaults getting alpha'd on either team to death, then the mediums would kill each other, then it would just be a brawl between the lights.

I would like much larger maps, more mechs, and a persistent world to play them in.

Yeah, at 25 seconds I was like "WTF?!?!" as like 30 heavies and assaults come over the hill. I have been playing for almost 2 years, and I have never seen THAT in game. That would be awesome, for the 2.3 seconds I lived.
