Please Funky you wouldn't even be playing this game if not for olde geezers like us.
If not for us old geezers games of this ilk would only be found in the abandonware bin at walmart.
There are plenty of twitchy games for you kids to go play.

Not that you probably care, but you've lost my respect.

I'm in my 40's and started playing TT, read some of the books, played some of the early games. I remember cursing trying to kill elementals....

My 9 year old son also plays and has his own account.

The thing is, us older guys have been gaming for Decades now, and we know a thing or two about what makes a good game into a truely great game.

Part of the social role of the older man is a leadership function, to help guide the youth of today onto the proper path:)

This game is more than thirty years old, and is still going strong, long after most of the others have fallen away - and only beloved games can say that.

So ask yourself why is it, when the old guys with lots of gaming experience could play any game out there, why are they playing this one?

With one foot now so firmly in my grave, I'll not be wasting my valuable remaining game time on a lessor title. After all, they may not have it where I am going:)

So I let my toddler press my cUAC 20 button in my Summoner that he loves so much, and landed a double tap in the eye of an Atlas... Killing it...

Still wondering if he is taking after his name sake.....

I must make him a warden....

I'm only 18!
I've been into BT all of my life though, my dad had all the games and I'd just sit with him playing them.

When I was younger, I would have been crusader, as I grew older, I saw he wisdom in the Warden way... And when I learned of the Ghost Bear way, I abandoned the Wolf trappings of my youth.

Aidan is young, and not even 2 yet, I can forgive many indiscretions of the Flacin way. Things will change in time, best to wait and see.

Hummm…. PGI is pandering to people with one foot in the grave. That’s a first for a gaming company.

SO... the question is...... can you old people leave a better game and not get a tingle in your none working without meds, organs and slim Jims without thinking about TT? If the answerer is no. Stop trying to relive your TT days virtually. No one younger than 30 wants to play this game.... KNOCK KNOCK PGI... you awake yet?

When young people try and tell PGI and the community why they don’t want to play this game. They get jumped by a bunch of TT people who are old enough to be their grandparents longing 4 the days of TT. Young MWO gamers might as well go to a nambla convention in a speedo holding a sign that reads "I want to adopt a grumpy grandpa".

Calm down dude, the older members of BT community aren't senile idiots. Though MWO and BT in general needs tweaks to it
(read: tweaks, not Gundams), if you leave the roots too much, it isn't BT anymore.

Though time changes tastes, I'd imagine what you said is more so appropriate in regards to skill, as opposed to tastes.

Just as he shouldn't generalize BT veterans as raisins on life support missing half their mental capacity, you should not generalize the <18 group to be twitch loving mlg pr0z like this:

One of the interesting things about the community here is the age and number of veterans that I've found. Since it's origins stem from a strategy war game there tends to be a portion of the community that's older and more "military" minded

Yeah, 42 here. Been using this handle since the BBS days. Read all the books and played TT in early 90's. And most of the MW games on PC. Still have my sidewinder force feedback controller.

At the half century mark and no plans of retiring. When my lancemates play, they are older than me.
