7.8m.

I literally didn't play from about 4pm - Midnight Saturday.

Event was very easy, I got it on a little over 3/4s of my games.

I also didn't "play" for the event, I killed, I shot, I assisted, just played normally.

Anyone who is complaining are just dam selfish, it was FREE C-BILLS how can anyone have the audacity to complain is beyond me!

3.0m from 104 matches. Didn't care about the tournament and just played like always, shoot to kill. Free c-bills, not going to complain about that!

I think it’s a little more complicated than “free cbills = good.” These events alter the play environment as people change how they play to try and min-max the system. If this min-max’ing creates a less fun play environment (I’d would argue that it does) then the rewards aren’t just a free bonus--they are in part a compensation for dealing with crappy play.

Now in some events the rewards were generous enough to make it worthwhile to grind through matches, but for me this event was a dull slog with minimal rewards as motivation. Having played through the 20-wins-for-10M event and this one I have to say the 20 win event was more fun (or a less un-fun).

What's wrong with using the in-game score system instead of these silly formulas?

Surely that system is working as intended... right?

i can tell you that based on your elo, this could be very difficult or very easy. You guys are forgetting that if your team wins its likely that your going to be able to get the needed assists / kills / dmg. but when your team loses its most likely your not getting anything. most of the matches i place are like 2/12 or 0/12 matches that are over in 3 to 5 minutes. i played 160 games this weekend and got 9.2 million. That's close to a 50% failure rate and i knew exactly how to get assists. if anyone wants to say its just because i don't know how to play. i was able to get 20th in the ranking on my faction with just focusing on getting 130 points minimum.

Oh I agree on the Elo thing. I was stunned to find out I got #17 on the Marik list. I'm convinced it was because I was mid Elo, and got very lucky against other mid Elo players. There is no way i'm gullible enough to think i'm actually in the top 10% of MWO players.

I played 35 games, I made 2.1 million C-Bills. Not a terrible perk for wasting an afternoon.

Got my butt handed to me during this event, playing exclusively in the solo queue; 11 wins out of 30 matches. 1,100,000 c-bills total.

I had to give up after the 7th or 8th loss in a row, as the matches were only getting worse. Had to take the free money and run with my dignity intact.

All my wins were scored at 130 or higher, but almost all of my losses were complete stomps with scores less than 60 (except for 1 or 2 close matches).

About 15 million C-bills.

Wasn't to difficult, and I didn't boat LRM's to badly.

call me strange but i prefer to play in a team when playing a team based game, go figure huh?

thats nice but it's 100 games conpared to 20 games last time,

don't you think thats a large jump?

Personally, I think anything is better than nothing ... so I don't plan on complaining unless they nerf cbill earnings.

Ultimately, you have the choice to play or not ... if the extra cbills don't appeal ... then just choose to play when they don't offer them :)

Yeah that is the problem with ELO and the Tourney. Not knocking you guys who did well but because ELO is in play, it isn't unrealistic that many of the top scores just happen to be at the top of their ELO bracket and not the best players in your game.

I mean think about it. The top player in the worst ELO bracket, is still going to be the top player and their tourney scores are going to reflect as much.

Further, I would even go as far as saying that at the top ELO brackets, the skill levels are so tight that it is likely that no one player can really stand out at those levels simply because it is much harder to put out big numbers against a skill opponent than an unskilled one. A prime example is College Football vs Pro Football. College games often and commonly can have matches scoring 50-60 points for each team Pro games rarely break 30 and often the intense skill levels of the players involved at this level keep the scores down to only 1-2 touchdowns between both teams. This being the case, it is very likely the actual "Best" players in the game find themselves somewhere in the middle of the pack rather than at the top of the leader board.

yeah, I thought it was a fair OPT in challenge. It was not a challenge where you needed to complete a certain number of games. 10 matches for a Hula girl was all. But i believe they just wanted players to play more to gather the data they needed. But they also gave you free CBills for the qualifying matches, before the chassis/mech challenges didn't net you any freebills
I do agree with the assists issue no one wanted to kill anyone... id say make kills worth just as much as assists or vice versa and problem is solved

Wait.. "money"? I thought we only had the option to win c-bills with the chance at getting MC. All I got was a 1.5million c-bill bonus for my efforts.

No but then your missing the whole point some of us try when we do things to reach these goals and this 10 mill goal at 100 games when last time it was 20 games is the point.

do you understand now?

PGI set that 10mil as a CAP. If you want to consider it a GOAL, then the grief that you are experiencing is your own fault.

I played 10 matches total, got my Hula Girl, then logged off. Looks like I had 4 qualifying matches, so 400,000.
