Why does everyone around here compare it to drinks at a bar...I don't buy over priced alcohol.

Because it's something almost everyone has experience with and has justified at least once.

my builds

Prime- quad PPC
B-3srm6, 2erll, uac10
A-2lrm15, 2erll, lbx10

each and every one of them wrecks face in their own way.

that Prime is a beast, chainfire and you get go quite a while at a decent pace to keep their heads down, when it counts, drop 2 on em, but don't forget launching all 4 is dangerous, but if its you or them....game over....aim carefully then launch em, 40 damage to one spot will take out about anything thats open, but you're a sitting duck after. useful but dangerous gamble.

Congrats OP! Remember that if you have not mastered a mech chassis, you better do it for the Warhawks, as it would likely (not that I've much experience with Warhawks other than in public tests) be much better in terms of cooling and speed.

yes, this, the speed tweak alone turns the warhawk into a whole different animal. the doubled cooling quirks are also a must.

Thanks all! Just checking in to mention that the Warhawk is a complete total beast. Currently trying to reach master so first off I'll max out each, starting with the A variant. So far I'm averaging 500+ dmg, multiple assists and a positive K : D.

I repeat: IT'S A BEAST. COMPLETE BEAST.
It was beast mode from the get go. A theory I have is that it's visually so similar to the DW that in the heat of battle opponent high mobility mechs might mistake the WH for the lumbering DW. Man what a mistake, even without mastering I got enough mobility to blast them to the stone age with srm/lbx.
The heat management is phenomenal, I can basically spam everything without overheating.

The tiny LRM attached is perfect for raking in some extra assists and then proceed to mid range brawling.

The best thing was that I made a leap of faith, I already have a DW and a TW but felt the DW was too cumbersome/lumbering while the TW was mobile and fun, it lacked the punch of an assault on top of the insane queue times of the heavis. That way, the WH felt like the best clan tradeoff between firepower, mobility all the while reducing the need for heat management (who likes to wait around for too long just to fire again?).

Anyway, looking forward to learn more about this mech as I progress with mastering it.

See you on the battlefield!

Glad you're enjoying it. Obviously, it's being kinder to you than me. May you continue to have enjoyable games in it (and I hope I didn't just curse you).

I once saw a warhawk sporting (if I can recall correctly) 4 LPL and 3 SRM6....I was like "damn, I don't wanna fight that one lol". Have fun with it.

Done with B and prime, moving on to eliting the prime.
Doing a build of my own, 4x ERLL, 2x LRM10 and a boatload of ammo + some extra heat sinks. This build is perfect for scoring assists as well, especially if you got a steady hand a large map. :)
