If you're in an IS mech, you have a 180m minimum rnage before the missiles arm in flight and acutally fall and cause damage. BACK UP!
FACING IS LRMS: GET WITHIN 180m if, and only IF; they have mainly LRMs as weapons. Remember, if they planned poorly and expected no one would find them, you could outwiegh them in importance just with your compared loadout.
If you're a CLANNER, you have NO min. range. So REMEMBER: you can rock their cockpits( cause them to have a hard time aiming cause the Clan missiles function to hit you the player individually! WATCH OUT FOR THIS! YOU MAY HIT YOUR FRIENDLIES WHEN BEHIND COVER WITH THEM! )
FACING CLAN LRMS: The most irritating approach to it, simply stay out of sight when taking them on, and pop-tart your way behind cover, and slowly fosu on their weakened Sidetorsos, OR arms if they are already weaker. It takes skill to take these guys on, so learn to focus fire on weak points that's all I'll say. IF YOU HAVE COVER, Clan LRMs really only need you to be in their line of sight to be really deadly, so slowly cripple them with this approach.
Learn to DAMAGE MITIGATE. By this I mean if you are behind cover, and you lost your Left torso and left arm but still are equipped with adamant amounts of weapons on the right side, then peak right. And if they spot you, and start firing, remember to use your right side as armour because you weak left side may lead to you being center-cored and dead before you know it.
