Loving the recent changes to the map! It is still visual challenging like a swamp is expected to be, but it no longer sacrifices the impressive visuals!

Keep up the good work PGI! :)

honestly didnt notice the lilypads, too much combat happens in c4-d4 to see it, but I agree withthe others on here that say the fog was too heavy before, but too light now, I have no fog, but should still see some haze from all that hot standing water

I stand by my earlier statement

Got stuck in this location, was running under the lilies and tried to jump jet up the ridge, got stuck before jump jet was used completely. Came from E3 label running straight for D5 label. Tried to Arty myself, also tried to DC and rejoin with the only change that my jumpjets was charged again, did nothing to the stuck situation though.

FS9-A with one jump jet, XL295 engine. Coordinates in picture.

I really like the map. I wish the Atlas lilys would return since they were such a unique facet and added a beautifully alien atmosphere to the map.

Reducing the 'fog' was good, but eliminating it altogether would be better. I still call this the 'black and white map' because I play it exclusively in thermals. The 'fog' element is really just a whitewashed overlay that robs the colors of the map at any distance. If you wanted 'fog' you needed to do it in patches and make it more like smoke-or perhaps patches of low hanging fog that would cover smaller mechs-spiders and jenners and such, but leave taller mechs like the atlas exposed from the chest up.

very nice look, it is ok. problem: too much rush ecm ac20+srm friendly

you said in the davlog that it will be difficult to rush in this map

i wander to know why

you can not see over 300 meters and the spaces are all small: THIS MAP WILL BE PUSH SRM AC20 NOOB FEST, same as mining collective.

mining collective = pac man

you are creating too many short range maps, we need more alpine peaks, canyon network, tourmaline desert, forest colony, my four favourite maps.

AH, EXCELLENT JOB ON THE LIGHT\SHADOW EFFECT

Just get up on one of the cliffs and you can spam lrms to your heart's content. Most of the cover on the map only prevents aimed weapons from hitting you effectively.

This map is still a damn site better than that bloody mining collective. If i could remove maps from the playlist you can be sure i'd delete mining collective. I'd rather play Mordor. Now this map on the other hand Viridian bog would be 2nd after canyon network as favourite.

Just did a drop on the new KGC-000(L). He got stuck on everything. I don't know if it is something to do with his extra wide chassis or what, but every time I passed within a few meters of a tree, not touching the trees as far as I could tell, I'd get stuck. Also, had numerous problems with missiles going through solid looking mega trees and the carapace.

Off the release notes:
"Viridian Bog: Fixed ballistics from passing through the arthropod shells."

Nice. And worked on testing ground (not tried in a match) also for PPC's and SRM's too.

But there are (still) some issues regarding "shooting-through" with other Items on the map - and really weird ones.
For my test I picked a "leg" from an dead arthropod as my target, and shot at it with Lasers, PPC's, SRM's and a Gauss. Lasers were fine, they did not go through it, under no circumstances. But PPC's, SRM's and Gauss(es?) passed that leg unobstructed - but only when I had the most zoomed out view! On the most zoomed in view they collide with the leg as expected...
(refering to normal zoom levels, no advanced zoom-modul involved)

Some screens to illustrate that issue. (have only for PPC's and SRM's, not for the Gauss)

PPC's
Spoiler

SRM's
Spoiler

I did report shooting through the quadruple-trees earlier, but there the zoom level did not affect it in any way... so, this is getting quite a bit bizarre...
