Whether you are a Mercenary leader or Lance Commander, sooner or later you'll have your own Mechs and people who want to join you. So why not share your mechs with your crew? After all you will need all help you can get for different missions. Mech Distribution can be useful when you need to specialize your team to think strategically whether you want to be the heavy hitters or the scouters or when players without mechs want to join. After all, a squad that acts together wins together.

I would say its a being a good teamate and friend if you give or lend a mech for someone to use. :)

That's true, I agree with you on that one.

I personally wouldn't mind sharing mechs and weapons, especially with several of my friends that are just now getting into the franchise, but I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that we will not be able to. So sad.

I like this idea, but they're footing repair/ammo costs to start unless it's a lucrative job, lol

I would definitely let my unit or Corp borrow my mechs as long as they returned them to me in the same condition that they received them in - Like a rental car agreement, but more awesome and more mutually beneficial

I seem to remember that this - along with selling mechs etc to others is not in the game and doesn't fit in with PGI's plans. After all they want to sell mechs to people, why buy mechs if you can "borrow" them?

I voted no just because I don't want there to be any benefit to running multiple accounts. If you can freely transfer mechs between accounts, I feel that opens the door to more possible abuse.

I am aware about the whole buy/sell mechanics not being in the game, but that is for individuals. Borrowing mechs are for recruited lancemates who are acting on behalf of their respective Merc Corps or Unit's leaders. Since the lancemates are part of their leader's faction, they deserve to be entitled to the resources. However because all resources are owned by the leader of the group, the lancemate is restricted from taking mechs from them. So once the individual leaves the Merc Corps or the House Unit, the mech is leased back to their leader.
