Seriously not nearly enough player taking advantage of high ground etc... jump jets directional jump jets will mean more players up in here.
Need to see more Mechs fighting from roof tops. Maybe art needs to add more cover up there!

I'm... not sure what you're saying. :D

True, that a lot of players don't utilise high ground with JJ 'Mechs very often, but that's because there's very few areas with cover up there.

So... you want directional jump jets? :P

But yeah, I could agree with adding more cover on high locations. Multi-tiered maps are pretty fun, as Mining and I think the new Bog map show.

I love posting up on top of the "citadel" tower in River City, very high but also with some cover from the taller tower as well as just being broad enough you can back up and break LOS

Even without JJ many mechs can reach high parts of the mountain in Crimson Straight and shoot down at mechs in C4B4.

Ah yes, the mountain on Crimson. I usually take my brawler Timber Wolf up over the mountain if the other team has camped on top of the 'garage', and chances are you can sneak back there and rear end several unsuspecting 'Mechs before they notice you.

The greatest weakness of BattleMechs; the lack of a rear view mirror... XD

you must have a death-wish, standing on building/high grounds gives zero protection against LRM their for nobody with right mind do that.

I did it all the time before they fixes the gaff on River City. The hill by Upper city was a wonderful sniper spot or LRM vantage point!

Yeah, get on the highest point of a map where everyone can see you and PPFLD you to death, or toos LRM's in your direction.

We counter that weakness with a guy known as a Lance Mate. (or hope someone keeps tabs on the backfield) :)

A big reason I don't bother with rooftops is that almost no mechs produce enough thrust to get up to a reasonable spot and maneuver. Really the only one I own that does is the Nova, and using the jumpjets on that thing in combat is suicide because of how much heat 5jjs builds...

Was playing the other night and saw a stalker up on the talk of the Crimson Straight mountain.

"How long did it take that guy to get up there???"

Yeah right, the hoverjets on my Victor can barely let me get over obstacles a bit over waist height.

Lol, no one goes up on roof tops cuz it means being hammered under an endless hail of LRMs....there is no advantage to being outside of cover. were in these heavily armored behemoths and yet coming out of cover means death as if were humans...

It takes a fair bit of time, but I did it with the Trial nova. View is impressive to.

Nova has JJ, the Stalker has a drunk-cow movement profile and no such lift ... it had to take several minutes for him to get up there.

I'd take jump jets if more of my Clan mechs were capable of using them.
