I'm no light pilot and this is the very first light mech I've piloted and I thought it was just me. There's not a single loadout that's even remotely fun to me and like you said, the arms get blown to smithereens in the blink of an eye. I'll master it eventually and then sell off 2 of the variants and just buy a real light mech. That's about all it's done for me, which is give me an interest to pilot a light mech. I doubt I will ever stray far from my Assaults (even the TBR is just bleh to me. They've just sat in Mech Bay collecting dust since I got them when I got the first Clan pack). In any event,

I don't feel it was a waste of money tho. If anything, I'll just throw TAG, NARC and an LRM on it and take it out every blue moon so I pretend I'm useful until it's all blown off and I'm running around with just my little skirt on. The ECM isn't even useful cause well.. those ARMS. I bet it gets some sort of perks or adjustments to the arms.

F variant Mist Lynx ST has ECM mount. Remove ECM arm and replace it with the ECM ST, boom, some problems solved!

Ironically this little guy is growing on me.

First 4 matches with my prime variant last night netted me 3 wins at 290k each and 1 win at 260k and while that was more fluke my consistent results haven't really been that bad, maybe slightly below my average.

It is not a competitive mech, but it can be a competent little PUGGER, so at the very least I don't feel I wasted my money (unlike how I feel with the Locust I bought with the Phoenix Pack).

Like the OP says though. The over-sized arms are an issue as they have both popped off in at least 20% of the matches I have played rendering the mech totally useless and I probably lose at least 1 in another 60% of the matches meaning I am only fully "armed" literally and figuratively in about 20% of my matches. Correcting the scaling would do wonders both for the viability of the mech and to correct this massive flaw.
