I wasn't suggesting they'd be slow. My 3L goes about 140 which gets me out of most scrapes so I don't feel a cap at slightly above 150 would be unreasonable. They could get a bit more armor instead. An alternative would be to let them keep the 170 max speed but make a slight reduction to turning rate.

I've had AC20 rounds pass through mechs running in a straight line towards me. I like the Raven but sometimes it feels like I am playing Quake or Jedi Outcast with mech skins instead of piloting a 25-35 ton warmachine.

No, not enough laser hardpoints in the Ballistic variant, so the only config half decent is the original one with some laser vomit stuffand srms.

also nerfing the timberwolf is not a question to make IS even, its a question to make the game balanced, because there is imbalance even within the clans.
