When was the last time we had a brawler based tournament? Or a light based tournament?

If there are as many LRM boats as you claim, its the perfect environment for brawlers. Whether there are enough of them out there with balls to take advantage of it is another story all together.

Tournament Formula

Players with fast computers and that can aim well --> Laser Vomit/Gauss Rifles all day

Players with slow computers or can't aim well (or simply don't want to) --> LURMzz dawg

Is it them hiding behind LRM boats as mode of victory, or you hiding behind LRM boats as a reason for your failures ?

It's the 'survival' requirement that discourages brawling. Even when you do really well and kill lots of folks, you were still there in the front taking damage and probably dying.

LRMs are hard to actually score kills with, though. I wouldn't have expected them to be out in huge numbers.

just killed 3 more lrm boats.
team moaned that *we left them to die*.. it was 8vs8 >_> and on the move to the lrms we cored some enemies. so i have no idea why ppl say you left them to die while you killed 4 mechs ......

one was a lrm stalker with artemis. so i guess we saved some mechs instead of letting them die.
