Wanna know the secret to making this challenge easy? Don't play lights, at least non-combat lights. Basically, anything that isn't a Jenner or Firestarter. Do yourself a favor and get a good killer, like a dual gauss jager or Ilya. Then rack up kills and wins.

I put in 42 matches with Mist Lynx, and only got 11 points. Then I gave up and started grinding Firestarters, and got 5 points with 11 games.

Then I went to a dual gauss, 3xML Ilya. 4 points with 5 games, with the 5th actually being a win, I just got greedy and died in the last 5 seconds trying to get a 4th kill. Too easy, just like all lazy dual gauss builds.

Yeah, but you need an assist as well as a kill.

You want a killer light mech, what I'm about to suggest may shock you, you want a light that gets around the map quick while carrying an arsenal most don't see coming until its too late! then you need the LCT-1E, grap the biggest engine stick 6! MLs on it and now you are a monster to mechs everywhere! mwahahahah!

warning: only for pilots that can control lots of heat, best at urban warfare sitautions, also dosen't come with ECM, not for the faint of heart.

Why not something like "win 20 matches". What is more victorious than winning? Ah, yes.... killstealing and cowering behind cover.
Kills are annoying to get sometimes. I had often Matches were I got 800-900 dmg and got no kills because someone was faster than me. To be honest, this game is less fun over the weekend than over the week just because those lrm-boats come out of there holes and everyone is to shy to attack. One might say that I should attack myself but attacking alone is just as effective as walking out of bounds.

I love free stuff but not for the price of bad gameplay. I will just wait till evening and play with a group because the solo queue is no fun.

My AS-7(S) is propelling me to victory. First match ever with it, got 4 kills, 4 assists, and won the match for us. Second match ever, 1 kill, 6 assists, won the match.

I got a good feeling about my AS-7(S)... She's a beast.

I'm also playing some Cannibal Corpse in the background. It helps.

That and the very expensive loadout, so even if you don't want it you can sell it for a sweet cbill bonus.

For the people struggling in lights, try running the 8SPL FS9-A. Dive in AFTER the brawl has broken out look for weak mechs and swoop in to help finish them off. Run to safety and find another mech being focused or opened up. Don't try to poke recklessly, just wait for people to engage and then jump in when the mech you are targeting is busy shooting at someone bigger than you.

I actually had to be the last action hero in several matches to secure a win for our side. The whole team cowering is no guarantee of success. In retaliation for everyone making me be the head of the spear, I usually kept going for deathblows well after my first. Had a lot of 4 kill 8 assist games.

Then after about 60 games of brawling, I put a new Scarecrow build together and got my final 8 points in 20 games. Lurms and small pulse lasers, who'd figure?

The ridiculous thing is I still had to step in and shove the cowards aside to make sure we won the game. If I have to step in personally I'm not handing out kills, I'm aiming to kill before I get cored.

Getting close to getting mine. Can 2 LBX-10's fit in the right arm? If so I am definately trying that out.

Left Arm - ERLL and Tag

Left torso - LRM's for the remaining tonnage

Right Torso - AMS

I will also try using SRM's if the LBX-10's dont fit.

I had 15/20 last night when I logged off. First few matches were bad, so I switched to my JM6-A with 4xLRM10 and the wins keep coming.

I already had the VTR-S for mastering my VTR-DS and sold it. Will probably sell this one too since its redundant.

Johnny: no, it cant fit 2x LB10X in the arm.

It's a struggle, yeah. Since I got my first point at about 2200 on the first day, I've had 5 qualifying matches. It's noon, day two. I don't really care anymore-I just want to make use of the premium time I earned.

So is the Champion Victor any superior to the other variants available? Anything super-stellar-special versus the new paint job?

Nah apparently it has extra XP gain, prolly the same as the hero mechs.

Not exactly a spectacular mech but not terrible, about to try out some builds on it.

Wish it came with the neat advertised camo.

You can do it on pretty much any mech

Best I can do right now is deal my 400-600 damage, get my kill and my assist, pop my UAV/Arty and hope my team can handle the rest.
