Hmmm, already have the VTR-9S mastered so not interested, but you mean you don't get 3 days premium per point?

3 days of premium time once for first point. Not per point.

It's drab looking, and lacking as an assault. Just like this challenge... In hindsight, not worth the amount of time I had to put in for it.

Best I can do right now is deal my 400-600 damage, get my kill and my assist, pop my UAV/Arty and hope my team can handle the rest.

Why do you have to stop at 1/1? It helps your team win much more if you just play normally, go for as many kills as you can, just play a bit more safe to survive.

Laservomit timber is the way to go, after many hours the xl350 is mine.

Now playing a way too hot non basiced banshee, free kill I guess, not survived a match in that yet.

Got my Victor Friday night, played about 7 hours.

Every match, after I got my kill, I would core out enemies and refrain from hitting the killing blow unless no one else was focusing them. Less C-Bills for me, but better chance for some other Mechwarrior to get his Victor.

We're all family here. Family that shoots each other and says ggclose, but still, family.

Then just take your free XL350 and the c-bills from the sell. Worth it now?

Then I went to a dual gauss, 3xML Ilya. 4 points with 5 games, with the 5th actually being a win, I just got greedy and died in the last 5 seconds trying to get a 4th kill. Too easy, just like all lazy dual gauss builds.

Was that me on caustic? I felt bad about that. :(

I was pretty drunk and let loose with an alpha before I realized it was you, the match was lost for my team anyway I probably would have went for someone else had I noticed.

For the people struggling in lights, try running the 8SPL FS9-A. Dive in AFTER the brawl has broken out look for weak mechs and swoop in to help finish them off. Run to safety and find another mech being focused or opened up. Don't try to poke recklessly, just wait for people to engage and then jump in when the mech you are targeting is busy shooting at someone bigger than you.

Yeah, the 8xSPL FS9-A is the easiest light I've ever mastered. I got 5 kills in one match just shooting people in the back. Two shots, almost always an instant kill. It feels like cheating.

I already mastered it however, so I am only taking out non-mastered mechs. Otherwise it feels like I am wasting time and XP.

Haha, that was you. My next match qualified for the 20th point anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. By that point it was ~1:30AM and I was tired and angry at how bad the Mist Lynx is. I switched to the Ilya and just kind of went on an angry killing spree.

Like I said, I got greedy and just went for as many kills as I could, so I deserved it. Good match though! :)

Or you could learn to aim. That seems to be the issue for some mechwarriors. I play a lot of FPS when I am not on here so I can pretty much hit a moving target with ease regardless of size or speed. My Raven with 2 ERLL does pretty fine. Safe because I am at a distance, and since I can hit the Orange CTs easily I get the kill and assists pretty easily from a safe distance. Then I can just strip the enemy's weapons.

Got my 20th point about 30 minutes ago. My challenge counter reads 20 points and challenge completed. No sign of the Victor yet. I thought it was supposed to take 15 minutes :(

I'd love to see what mechs you were all running during the challenge if you found it easy.

Easiest mech I had was my timberwolves. 7 MPL, 2 ppc 1 gauss.
Second easiest was my Ravens, just 2 ERLL and went in for those sweet kills after my teammates had stripped them.
Had moderate success with an Adder with 3 ML and 1 LB-X 10.

It took me about an hour to get mine after the challenge was completed...so you just gotta wait a bit.

I went all wub. Cicada with 5 mpl, and a Wubshee with 3 LPL 5 MPL. I qualified about 40% of the matches which was nice.

17 points down, most of mine being from Sparky but my 3 x LBX10 Ilya has had some fun as well. Time to break out the Cicadas and after getting my 20 it will either log off of have fun with my Oxide.

Good luck everyone!

Finally got mine after playing all day...

Yeah...no custom paint job...

That's a drag.

But, I am noticing that I'm pulling off some pretty sweet damage; maybe I'm subconsciously adjusting to everyone's tactics...but...meh...glad it's finally over...

Maybe PGI will add the custom paint scheme for everyone upon the challenge being over?

Nah. Comes with DHS, Endo and a sweet XL 350 though. Throw on 2 ML, an AC20 and 3SRM4 and you've got yourself an incredibly fun brawler :)
