Here, PGI, I'll give you this hint for free:
33 points for the prize.
1 point = 1 win + 1 kill + 1 assist + 0 friendly fire damage.
See? That's much more sane. Actually promotes good gameplay.

If you want an even saner version, replace 1 kill with 333 damage.

Worst idea ever. Not a single person would fire their weapons.

Don't let anyone bump into you, since you do damage to them that way...

You mean people would have to NOT bombard their friendly Atlas with SRMs because there's a Spider running around?

Any challenge that requires you to also survive the match promotes terrible game play.

heaven forbid an event make you focus on winning the match and surviving as opposed to rambo in, derp damage, die, screw your team over, and repeat...

I think we need a few less events. I'm burned out. Or at least make it easy.
Play a match, get at least 3 assists get a point. 20 points gets you a mech. That would be fun since it would encourage people to play normally.

Except, once people get 1 kill and 1 assist, they go hide in a corner and screw there team over.

Running the hell away because you MIGHT die is not screwing your team over?

rofl, yea because hiding in the corner and screwing over your team and leaving them short handed even though the entire team must win is going to promote more people screwing over their entire team.

The people doing that? Those are the people complaining about this event as a whole and the tears are very salty as some realize their "elite skillz" weren't quite as elite as they thought when they're required to do something other than play selfishly and only for themselves with no regards to actually winning the match with their team.

Then screw them over in return by setting up a loss. Revenge really is a dish best served cold. <maniacal   >

Tournaments can change people's behavior. Forcing something like "staying alive" doesn't make people want to play better, it makes them terrified of death. People already want to stay alive, but in this game death isnt the end since you can still get assists. If we didn't have after death assists we would see this kind of terrified of death attitude everywhere in normal play. by Easy I meant that tournaments should encourage people to play better, not make them paranoid about messing up to the point where they are fleeing from battle in the hopes of advancing their progress.
