It seems that in this weekend tourny, People would rather lose the match than to die and win the match and feel like they lost out on a qualifying round.

People don't understand that by sitting back and lobbing LRMs, or sitting back and trying to nab kills from others is not going to work in the long run. By playing it overly safe, they shoot their chances of winning in the foot.

Yep, because thats what the challenge rewards - long range, low risk, passive gameplay. You're being disqualified to taking a brawer into the game because, hey, brawlers tend to die, who knew? Something thats a massive error on PGI's part - "victor" and "survivor" are not synonyms. I'd much, much rather win with a match and die in the process than survive but lose. Sometimes, the best way to help the team, to claim victory, involves you getting killed. Watch pro Counter-Strike long enough and you will see this in effect.

Agreed....I like the changes that have been happening recently, but this tourny is bringing out the worst in people. I caught myself shooting into a group of friendlies just to try to get the enemy in the middle of them...I normally wouldn't do this but I gotta get my kill/point. Not good, Not fun, Not the way this game should be played. 20 is too damn high, it make people desparate...this isn't my full time job ffs.

Play hard to win and you will likely meet the required conditions at a reasonable pace. Play selfishly and just trying to game the system and you just end up losing anyway.

Been using the 2 lb10x, 4mg, 2mlaser Jager-DD with the expressed intention of stealing as many kills as possible on my way to a glorious brawlers death. Just to read the sea of hate that floods chat at rounds end. All this is in response to sickening style of play this tourney has brought on in solo and group queue. Am i wrong in doing this...so be it.

Yeah like last weeks tourney, again it is too restrictive and tends to reward bad play. All weekend I have found myself playing uber cautious. I go out and do my best to get a kill, preferably steal a kill to be honest then step back into the shadows and try to survive the rest of the battle. Of course I would come out and try to help the team win if we were behind or it was even close and even managed a few amazing carries but this also unfortunately cost me the point a time or two as well, Generally though if I had my kill and my team was winning, I would refrain from battle or only engage if I knew I was safe.

This kind of sucks though because I can't count the times I have held myself back from going for an additional kill or even trying to maximize my rewards becasue the risk of dying outweighed getting that additional kill or whatever. Playing like this tends to not be near as fun.

Correction. Bad brawlers tend to die. I specifically took ONLY brawler mediums and heavies to do this...because people were bitching they couldn't. Done in 34 matches.
