Urgh, the Word of Blake designs are terrible, and I hope the Jihad never makes it into this game. I'd be much more happy if we stopped at the Fed-Com Civil War.

I pretend the story ends after the FedCom civil war. Don't care for what comes after.

We all know that the clan invasion will come to an end soon,

LOLwut? PGI haven't even fully planned how Clan Invasion will progress, let alone anything after it.

WoB to me sounds like the invention of a Battletech-DM who wanted to kick his IS players in the nuts after managing to fend off the Clan invasion.

Could be interesting but I'd be 100% okay with it never appearing in MW:O.

By the time the WoBbie Omnis came out, mixed tech is canonical -- they had at least 2 decades to figure the in-lore problems out.

Yeah but this is Paul logic remember

CW is being designed around the event of the Clan Invasion. Its going to be around for a while.

Maybe one day we'll visit other events, though.

More like it's the Duke Nukem Forever of Mechwarrior. We'll see it eventually, and it will be god awful, hastily thrown together and barely even recognizable as what it was supposed to be.

As for Word of Blake mechs: Maybe as a new IS pack, but don't expect a third faction to magically pop up and start fighting everyone. We'll be lucky to see clan vs clan or IS vs IS struggles for control that are based around the lore. And that's assuming CW ever shows up to begin with.

The Jihad is what killed it for me. Sry, but I dislike it immensely. Dark Age had an interesting it not linear and short life.

Gimme 4th Succession War, War of 3039, Ronin War, and Clan Invasion all day long though....

IS omnis happen way before the fedcom civil war.

Not the greatest mech, but it is an IS omni.

I liked the Uziel in MW4, it was actually my favorite Medium 'mech in the game. That was probably due to ditching the JJs and being able to equip 2 x CERPPC and 1 x CLRM20 though, don't know how it would fare with strictly IS weapons.

Also, they have a functioning Omni assault by 3056.

I think we can all agree the Word of Blake lore is controversial,

It sure is because it's a direct parable to what is going on right now in the real world. If people can't deal with fictional fantasy parables they shouldn't be playing fictional fantasy games.
