I thought it was the best tournament challenge yet, and it improved teamplay and the overall atmosphere as a side effect.
I hope we see another challenge with this format again before the end of they year.
There is a whole section of the player base that liked the event, it would be a mistake to ignore them.

Except for those of us who did it exclusively with brawlers...and in relatively few matches. From posts I'm reading, I know I wasn't alone.

It's like those nights where ya get 10 games ya lose in a row (I know it happens to everyone now and then, at least in the solo queue) If ya had one of those while doing this, 10 games with no points...
If we average a game plus queue time or downtime between matches at 13 minutes (my average match time for this event) then the player just spent over 2 hours not getting a single point... was it his fault? Maybe a bit, but at the same time, a crappy team is a crappy team...
Challenges can be hard, but they need to be fun as well... otherwise why bother playing them.
Also if they are going to make them into long grinds... maybe we need a bit longer to do them... if a lot of people were getting it done in 50+ matches, that is a lot of play time needed... I even saw some people posting 100+
Trying to get that much play time, and have real life stuff to do, well that can add an entire extra level of frustrations...

I like that some were cowards, one should be afraid to die after all, and if some of your enemies fear for their life, it gives your team a chance to come back.
I really wish they gave a bonus to surviving a match regularly. Maybe something like 20k for winning, and 40k for winning and staying alive.

Excellent idea!
In your example there is no penalty at all, Winning and Surviving just gets the larger Bonus - Win-Win proposition.

this would be the first event ive played all weekend through and didnt get anywhere,
before everyone starts, learn to play better, ect,...
i mostly play a support, i average 600+ damage a match, and 750+ exp per match,
i dont usually get kills but i almost always get 4-8 assists, my K/D is 0.3, so not a killer,
i didnt care for the survival aspect of the Event as it was the main reason i didnt get any points,
personally i would rather an event that needs 60-80 hard to get points(with out survival),
than a survival based event that only needs 20-25 points but its near imposable for me,
