The tricky thing is that I'm fairly sure that PGI/IGP put the pricing on colours and other items fairly early on. I keep getting the impression that both were fairly inexperienced at the time, and now that IGP has gone it seems like PGI are trying to keep everything more logical.

But the problem is that they can't change it. Not easily, anyway. They can't just say "Hey, we've changed our minds, colours are now going to be cheaper/purchasable for C-Bills". I would imagine those that already spent money on them wouldn't be very happy.

lol no.

Putting clans behind a six month paywall, only to target nerf them as they released for c-bills. Sorry, bro.

Because I'm sure keeping them in their OP state on initial launch would have gone down well.

You used to be able to get... I think it was Modro? A decent dark near black for c-bills. It wasn't phoenix black or hotrod black but it was at least a dark color.

They could change it. Other games have and there was no huge outcry.

F2P games are exactly the same thing as cigarettes and beer. Addicts support them and they are a low percentage of users. Except maybe cigarettes but we know how evil they are.

Pretty sure many many people like beer, with few of them being addicts. Claiming that putting cosmetics behind a pay wall is terrible is a bit daft. Would you rather follow the monetization of the guy that wants to buy away ghost heat?

Actually they can easily change the price to make them cheaper and more reasonable, that is how the world works.
If you want to be an early adopter of something, you usually pay more for it, not less.

Oh I forgot we are dealing with the entitled babies of the internet games genre. Where they think they are somehow entitled to get refunds when things are all of a sudden cheaper or on sale.

Don't be mad. It would be the best 20 bones you ever spent.

Paints and Mech Bays are priced pretty well for the most part, especially if you wait for the sales. I do think the Champion mechs are overpriced, but thats a different discussion. Selling cosmetic items really is the best route they could take.

If you just put 50 bucks into the game like you were purchasing a not F2P game, you'll have more than enough for the color and mech bays you might want.

A small minority of people who consume alcohol are responsible for the vast majority of the sales.

That is a lame excuse for not changing the prices. Price changes on products change ALL the time. Some people get refunds/rebates at times, but not everyone.

If I bought a color 1 year ago...hell 1 month ago, for 500MC and found out later it got reduced to 100 MC...I wouldn't bother complaining at all.

By your logic everyone who bought a clan mech should demand a refund because they are available for C-bills now (ie. Free).

They could drop the price any time they wanted to few complaints and a vast amount of cheers.

Colourgate

Don't know how much colors are because I get them from packs and would never get them otherwise.
