Yes, its possible I may have been wrong to complain about the Orion Protector mech's quirks. I tried a new load out and its seems to be doing better. I had done a few complaints about the protectors quirks so I felt I needed to apologize. :)

If I have a few bad matches I may delete this topic and change it to "I was right!" but until then...........

Yep. I didnt have the creds to try using the quirk based load out until recently.

Pre quirks I had spent tons and tons of creds and time trying to find a load out that worked ok. In the end I settled on an XL engine and longer range ballistics using speed to stay at the range I wanted simply because the Protector was to fragile and couldnt deal out any reliable damage close up. I kept that engine and gear in case I want to change back, which is cool. But using the quirks load out is working also.

I ended up with a fairly viable long range and short range mech. Not bad. Now only if it moved like the Centurian rather than a duck. :)
