The second group will literally attempt to rip your arms off, and beat you to death with the soggy ends, if you say anything bad about RSI. I think the best term for them is "quasi-religious zealots"

EvE has spaceships worth over $8000 floating around. Mind you, these are ultra-rare supercarriers, but a normal Titan probably runs for about $5000-$6000.
Most capital engagements end with several dead Titans and super-carriers (f**king Russians will drop Titans on anything that moves, so battles rapidly escalate with them). Not counting the enormous costs in Dreads and carriers, along with supporting fleets... A medium sized EvE battle would cost you around $20k or more, and they happen multiple times a day, every day.
Internet spaceships is srs bidness, bruh.

So like, rich people use this game to destroy each others wallets? Suddenly I'm all about it.
63.5 million dollars in funding and counting.
In all seriousness, it has about the same content as MWO, but it suffers from a critical flaw: you must submit to Nintendo-styled friends codes, rather than a sane lobby, or a friend's list. They're allegedly gonna fix this in the upcoming patch, which will add armor and more guns.

Two things
1) Technically EVE doesnt have anything of real dollar value, since it can all be purchased/made with in game resources. Only stupid people pay $8,000 for something they can get for free.
2) Again unlike EVE SC makes you actually purchase ships for real world dollars unlike EVE. EVE you pay a subscription fee and everything is available to you.

Yeah. I think most people know that EVE isn't a payfest like this other thing is. Or they should. Kinda glad someone took the time to explain it.

That is, if they hadn't broken promises, made all important records impossible to find, had made a game with easy expansion points so other people would ***** less, made content that wasn't pure money grab, had devs that were personable, didn't hire and keep a CM that was a pretentious ass who battled the community, weren't greasy and gave off the vibe of trying to sell me a Rolexxx, and generally had fair pricing in their game.
Y'know, the small things. Maybe CW and drop decks will fix a few problems. Although I'll profess, I hate the name Community Warfare, it sounds ******* stupid. Why not Galactic Warfare? Planetary Conflict, since that is what we have first? I don't know, maybe I'm bitter.

There is a huge number of guys who don't seem to be able to understand what they actually buy when getting a mechpack or MC (hint: you neiter buy CW nor better hitdetection/maps/gamemodes)
Better yet, they really think they are entitled to get a refund months and years after their purchase.

Those are crowdfunding pledges, buying the cheapest package gets you the game and a starter ship, everything else is purely to support development.
