Not as bad as when they messed up the Atlas head hitbox and Atlases were being headshot-killed every game.

Im having allot of issues with getting CT'd in this mech.. even when my back is straight towards the enemies. This cant be right.

I'd say this is much worse.

Back then they didn't mess up the headbox.

Quite literally, "the head is the head."
They made the head as the head.

It just has a big freaking head.

This hitbox thing is a total "wtf?"

Russ has already stated it's messed up and they'll look into hotfixing it starting Monday. (Twitter)

The CT is fine.

People just quit trying to ST any clan mechs because right now that's pointless. Losing some of your cooling when you've just lost half or more of your weapons is zero penalty and a bad joke. CT all day, every day.

(Unless your a Stormcrow, with its ridiculous hitboxes, in which case your CT is unhit-able. SWEEP THE LEGS Johnny!)

Am I the only one who thinks the Hellbringer CT hitboxes aren't that messed up? Sure, the back shots hitting the front armor is glitched, but that makes you more survivable. The actual size of the CT hit box, while big, does not prevent shielding with arms, which can take a huge amount of damage. I've run a one-sided build, and this thing rocks! It's squishier than the Timby, but what isn't? Play it as a fire support poke, shoot, and scoot mech, and you can post some great matches. This thing was made for dual ER PPC in the left arm.

Dude, are you even looking at the hitbox map in this thread?

It's NOT fine.

If you insist the Hellbringer's hitboxes aren't broken, then you're deluded or trolling.

That said, I don't have an opinion whether properly working hitboxes would need a smaller CT or not. I think right now the most important thing is to FIX the obvious errors and then see if further adjustments may be needed.

CT is too big, but not so terrible where I'm ragequitting the Hellbringer.

Heck, despite that its working its way into being my favorite clan mech. Gotta love a heavy with ECM.

In the game, the head equates to the cockpit, not the shape of the mech, so yes, they did mess up a hitbox with the Atlas back then.

In order to make the Armor FEEL "BALANCED" this is what I had to do wiht the armor:
HBR-PRIME

In their original design, the head equated to the head. PGI said it themselves.

It doesn't make sense to have 33 health (18 armor + 15 structure) dedicated to a window of transplast (transparent metal) when your body has a total of 20 armor on the front, 4 armor on the rear, and 12 structure (total 36) for the rest of your mech's body (Locust).

It really doesn't.

That purple area has 20 front CT armor, 4 rear CT armor, and 12 structure. That SUPER TINY ITTY BITTY BABY BOX... has 33 health total (18 armor, 15 structure).
In what way does that make sense? Especially since Transplast, the transparent alloy used, is noteworthy as 'slightly weaker' than standard armor.

However, rather than the head always being 'the entire head', it should be a series of 'weaker' points in the head. This would substantially reduce the CT size of the Atlas, allowing the ST sizes to be reduced some as well, and allowing the mech to live longer.

It's a bit too big. Gets hit easily from 400-500 meters even when turned away. Not much payload. Just the ECM as a benefit.

this Ct hit box is crazy, ive gotten shot in the back running and im reciving CT damage wth??? I usaly always die by CT rarely do I ever lose an arm or leg i've striped my mech down a lot more armor 55ct and is still the only reason I go down in a match.

I cant even remember when i have last seen a Atlas get headshot... My point being, don't over correct things.
Hopefully they will find a nice balance
