It seems everyone has completely given up on Standard Heatsinks
Not surprising since the difference is so substantial that any mech without this upgrade is borderline unplayable
The main problem actualy comes from the huge improvement those internal heatsink the engine has get when you upgrade to DHS
Even without the probably more predictable proposal of "engines should perform the same in heat managament with or without DHS" i still think there's a chance for Standard Heatsinks to be viable
I personaly would like to see them on 0.5 ton each, it might seem OP at first but i believe that the difference the internal heatsinks of an engine give counterbalances this, creating the need to put more and more external HS, hence, a greater need to balance out the number of slots you have with the weight you can carry
If i find a way to alter values in Li Song mechlab i'll actualy try it out and see if heatefficiency varies greatly with this metod
Anyway feel free to add your opinion on the matter and new ideas ofc

Do the Math Man.......... with 15 tons you will get 30 heats per second ... that is Called DoubleHeatsink ))) and Pgi Doe's not want this game to Be Fun... it want this game to Drag.... with alpha strikes and constant overheating issues

DHS only provide 1.4 heat dissipitation, it's 2.0 for internal heatsinks i think
Anyway it might be 15 tons "only" but it's still 30 slots which is alot imo
I also did a quick test and i noticed you need atleast 10 standard heatsinks more to equal the heat dissipation of an engine (250+) with 10 internal DHS
