It's about the resistance mech's. more particularly the light mech. the specs say that it's going to move slower then an Atlas? I'm wondering if this isn't some typo?

Thats with the stock engine, which is A LOT smaller than the maximum it can carry.

its engine is capped relatively low, so it can only move about 125 kph. don't know the exact numbers. Also there is a "support" button up top, email them your questions.

Email them and hope to get a response within 2 weeks. BUT, like everyone said... the engine it comes with is tiny and unlike clan mechs, IS mechs can change their engines obv... so, it'll be fine.

They ALSO already acknowledged that it's maximum engine cap is distressingly low compared to other IS mechs and could see a buff, but these mechs are still several months away.

The Panther has a max engine capability of 250. That grants 115.7 kph standard, 127.3 kph speed tweaked. Better than a Mist Lynx. I definitely wouldn't run it with less than the max.

It's also a 35 tonner, so it has reasonable tonnage for weapons. I can see the Panther being a good ERLL or PPC sniper.

Still its IS...so I guess that depends on how they handle the hitboxes and scale.

We'll probably see some stuff similar to this:

PPC sniper - Switch to ERPPCs if you really like them. Or 2xLPL if you like a little more close to mid range punch.

or this - A ERLL sniper.

The PNT-10K has dual AMS which might be fun to run with as well.

The PNT-9R has 4 energy hardpoints in the arm... We'll likely see some 4xMPL or 4xERLL builds with SRMs in the CT.

I can see potential in this chassis as a fighter with that shield arm on the left.

That's essentially what it was designed for
