never go full dakka, i know... but it is tempting to strap 6 AC2s on the arms and revive the old jagermacro.

then find some enemies, hit on override and start all the glory of the true dakka god!

for 10 seconds till you die thanks to ghost heat but still I think I will do that at least 10 times...

The KGC is quite literally an IS answer to the Dire Whale. (Despite the KGC being SLDF-era, and quite possibly the inspiration for the DWF in the first place)

XL is an XL, in a mech with VAST side torso's due to the length of the torso, not to mention the width. But leave that aside, assume it can run an XL and not die in seconds.

The KGC has 47 slots free with a standard engine. Add an XL and Endosteel, and you're down to 27 slots. They get eaten really fast. Much like an Atlas, you can run one or the other but pretty much never both.

Running one or the other, you still end up with a LOT of available tonnage.

Or, using heightened terrain, a Dire Whale might somehow get on top of a King Crab, combining their Wonder Twin Powers to create the Ultimate Dakkazord. Would the universe implode if that happened? Division by zero?
