Hm...perhaps dual UAC2, ERPPC.

I think it's fair to reduce this mech to nothing but joke builds, it isn't really worth anything else.

Well, trolling in a Lolcust is amusing in the Mass Assault queue.

Well, no. More like I can find the stash of Crabcakes and checking up on the Pillsbury Gargboy for some tickling.

90 khp speed: check
Laser vomit: check
Assault's amount of armor: check
Clan XL engine (who would've thought): check

Looks better than most IS assaults IMO.

Low slung weapon hardpoints: check
Mediocre hitboxes: check
Lack of JJ: check

Looks worse than a SMN.

Another freaking Mech Pack to where 3 out of the 4 mechs are literally worthless or at least worthless for a long time before they perk them. Im so sick of this bu!!crap to where you buy mechs and they suck! Get your head out of your @ss PGI!

The biggest trouble with the GAR is, imo it adds NOTHING. Every other clan mech does at least something no other one does, even if that thing is only arguably useful..

Mist Lynx: bad, but flies like no other.. has a kinda fun niche as a ERPPC + ECM sniper midget

Kitfox: only mech to be able to run triple AMS, has ECM, can jump about.

Adder: Struggling to find a unique niche for this the Kitfox doesnt fill better, but at least it has more tonnage for weapons than the fox for people who like small profile weapons platforms.

Ice Fridge: Bad, i hate it, but at least its got the honor of being the fastest clan mech

Nova: Jumpy medium with crazy numbers of hardpoints, nothing else can match them.. it needs love but it has a niche

Stormcrow: well, needs no explanation - fast, super hitboxes, lots of firepower for the speed.

Mad Dog: Only clan mech to have 6 missile ports, plus backup laser ports.

Hellbringer: heavy with ECM and decent firepower and excellent torso hardpoint locations

Summoner: Again, struggle to find much of a niche, but... super high mounted ballistic ports on a very jumpy mech.. something at least (they obviously need love too).. this SMN-B loadout looks decent at least considering how high mounted that Gauss is. Hell give this mech endo steel and it would be fricking great (twin super high mounted gauss, jumping Jager that doesnt die on ST loss)

Timberwolf: Most versatile clan mech, balance between speed and firepower.. enough said really.

Warhawk: halfway point between the Timber and the Dire. by far the best clan LRM carrier, needs a bit of love but certainly has a niche

Dire Wolf: more firepower than any other mech. slowest and least agile as well, but well. Whale..

Gargoyle: Low mounted hardpoints, only tonnage for energy boating, no faster than competing options but larger and less agile, no JJs, no ECM, least free tonnage of the 89.1kph crew bar the nova while being the heaviest. What is its niche? EVERY build you can run on it can be replicated exactly on the Hellbringer or Timberwolf, with either ECM or Jumpjets, smaller profile, better agility, higher mounted weapons and more heatsinks.
dont say 'assault for 3/3/3/3 that is fast' - just take an IS assault with a big engine, since if 3/3/3/3 then its pub queue.

That sums it up neatly. I think you underestimate quite how good the Fridge is at hunting IS lights when you get used to it but otherwise that's the problem I see with the Gargoyle.

adder has compared to kfx some high mounted torso hardpoints. they are great to hillpeek. Sure no comparison to a IS light, but its fun to play it with LPL or CERPPC.

Yeah possibly, I can see how other people like it due to its speed.. it just doesn't fit my playstyle because for me a mech like that needs JJs, which is why i hate it.

Truth! I was just expecting more from wave 2. As stated, the mist linx, ice ferret and gargoyle are all turds when compared to the other mechs in their weight class. As it is now, Clans have no good lights. The DW has crazy high firepower but is ultra slow. The warhawk has the fatal flaw of 99% of weaponry being on the right side. If you lose that torso, you are basically weaponless. Compare the assaults to the Atlas and now the new King of the assaults, King Crab. So basically most clans will have to just use mediums and heavies if you want to be mobile.

yes, that mehc is actually fun to play, and not toally useless, still not the best choice amongs lights, but it has a specific strenght you can work on.

The only thing i miss is a proper ammo version for a lrm 40 adder. because squeezing lrm 40 in the trosi looks epic. Like a Hive. Just can't use a proper amount fo ammo anymore.

Sometimes I wish we would simply have some MK 2 versions of a few mechs being +20 tons but the exact same design. Even if called adder, I often think of a crab when seeing the adder. and a 100t adder would probably look totally awesome and having some cool loadout.
