Now admittedly, I'd never done my research. Never looked at the Piranha Wikipedia page, but I got Duke Nukem: Forever on Steam yesterday, loaded up the game, launched, and wham. Right on the title screen "Piranha Games."

I began laughing, as all the Soon™'s flashed through my memory. If 12 years isn't enough of a "SOON" then I don't know what is.

But seriously, I'd love to hear from Russ/Bryan about what they contributed to the game, and what their experiences were with it (if they're allowed to talk about it). Perhaps Russ himself is responsible for the creative decision to have Duke make full use of toilets? Who knows.

From what I understand DN:F is still under lawsuit. Decided to buy the game in case it gets removed from Steam in the future.

They worked on the multiplayer.

Seriously, we also landed on the moon, the cold war is over, and disco is out. Any other dead horses we can beat?

Is this the thread where I can complain about Mass Effect 3's ending?

They've worked on far worse games than duke.

Edit: forgot to welcome you to 2013, OP.

Edit edit: since OP was in a coma for multiple years, I guess he must have missed out. Thus, I posted another PGI classic.

Knowledge is power. Always do your research before you invest in something. Saved myself the money I would've thrown at this game to become a founder had I not. Saw this developers dismal track record and knew what to expect from MW:O. They definitely didn't disappoint, the many unhappy founders and others since then that have left the game already are proof of that. Although to be fair they are improving, slowly but surely, and many of those who left will likely return to finally witness the release of CW in all it's glory (or possible failure, hence the tag on it "open beta" they will use as an excuse should it fail miserably).

It's called growth and professional development. My first essay didn't win any Pulitzer prizes, nor come anywhere close. Fortunately, everyone knew better than to judge my fate and station in life based on it.

My God, get some f****** perspective. All o' ya.

Well the main point of my post was that I was curious what part of DN:F PGI worked on. That was answered. I merely found it humorous that they have this serious attitude with things like lawsuits with HG, and IGP collapsing going on and yet amidst all of that, I just took a step back and had a good laugh at the fact that they also worked on a game where you can spend an infinite amount of time in a bathroom drinking shower water and then pissing in the toilet.

Nowhere did I say "oh its no reason MWO sucks because Duke Nukem Forever sucks" In fact, I enjoy both games thusfar.

In the original Duke Nukem could drink from the toilets, it increased his health. My favorite part of duke nukem forever was when one of the soldiers tells duke "Here's your power armor sir." And then Duke looks at the armor, it is the Spartan II armor master chief wears, and Duke says "Power armor is for pu*****." Had to be the best line in the game.

If I remember correctly we worked on the multiplayer components and the console ports for Duke Nukem Forever.

I didn't work on it directly though so I might not be 100% correct.

NRA Gun Club is the real gem of their resume. The game is so bad it makes the review videos amazing.

You can also run into a dead Doomguy in the original game, where the duke will say "that is one doomed space marine. "
