I feel jiped out of 120$ 3 out of 4 of the clan wave 2 mech pack are underwhelming.. the only competitive mech is the hellbringer, I feel like these mechs shouldn't need fixing right out of the box. We are limited with 20tons to use for weapons on an assault mech the gargoyle. Even if these mechs are fixed down the road, why did I pay 120$ for early access to them now?

Not true, two of the chassis have center line hard points. Thats better than the dire whale.

ALL of the stats of each mech were released way in advanced. As someone who is concerned about "competitiveness" of the mech, you should have done your own leg work to work out the available pod space and possible builds before shelling out the cash.
The hardpoints and locations were also ALL listed. You got exactly what was on the tin.
If you don't like it, ask for a refund.

I've got to agree on this one. The whole pack has been a huge disappointment. Of course, when I purchased it, the speed attached to the mist lynx was 139, not 113. Could've been my mistake. Maybe I was just excited to see some new mechs. Every single time a new one became available, though, I've just seen greater disappointment in the pack.

While the Mist Lynx is terrible, it's still kind of fun trying to figure out how to make it work. You really have to learn each mech and play to their strengths / weaknesses. I enjoy the challenge of each (although I've complained a bit on the way). But yes, the stats were there all along and most people correctly identified the second clan pack as bad. You knew.

OP, sorry to disagree with you but I'm actually pretty happy with the Wave II mechs. Maybe you just need more time with them. This group of mechs are certainly very different from the Wave 1 mechs.
That being said these mechs weren't perfect at launch but PGI moved quickly to fix the problems with the Hellbringer and Mist Lynx.

I agree with the OP.
The primary needs of the Clans are competitive mechs that fill the needed roles for the upcoming community warfare. That was why Clanners purchased this pack. It wasn't to 'figure out how to pug best with each bad mech', it was to be able to have the selection needed to fill out a quality drop deck for CW.
That said, this pack does not fill that role in many ways other than tonnage requirements.
Mist Lynx: Too undergunned to fight IS lights. Loses arms still too easily after the quirks. Hits actually register on it at a greater rate than IS mechs. Not enough firepower to fight an IS light. Its nice to have a fast scout with JJs, but if the IS scouts catch it, it won't make it back to the group. Can be one-shot by any high alpha assault.
Ice Ferret: Gets armed and loses weapons too easily. Gets legged with ease. Not enough firepower to fight an IS light. DOES NOT DISSIPATE fast enough to stay in a fight for more than 45 seconds (eaten alive by IS lights).
Loki: An excellent competitive mech.
Gargoyle: Overheats with 5 medium lasers and a ballistic after two shots. Heat buildup is unusually high. Weapon launch point height is backwards. Mech is as tall as skyscraper, but with low weapon launch points. The pilot MUST expose half the mech over cover before firing. 'HUGE" movement archetype innapropriate and leads to torso twist damage mitigation challenges.
Fixes needed:
More arm and leg armor quirks for Mist Lynx.
More arm quirks for Ice Ferret and a heat dissipation quirk. Perhaps some CERLL and CLPL, or CMPL quirks.
Change movement archetype to "large' on Gargoyle so it can twist spread damage effectively. Heat generation quirks. Fix the weapon origin bug where the arms and CT hardpoints are inverted. Consider CT armor/structure quirk.

That would be the question Duck. You paid $120 to have access to them right out of the gate. There are those who were skeptical about their function and held their money until they could see them in action and get feedback.
There are two mechs in my bays which I bought without knowing about them much, The Grid Iron, (because I am a Hunchie fan) and just now the King Grab for MC. (because IS chicken walker) . The GI disappointed me for a LONG time, but it was worth the money to have it at it's release. King Crab is AWESOME and I like most of the walking animation but there are things I am not sure about.
The point is that I pad real life money for it to test it out and just own. I didn't want to wait until February or later to grind enough to then start "testing" it.

When the Phoenix pack was released and I got my Overlord set of Mechs... I was thoroughly disappointed with the Thunderbolt... until about two months later when I started getting more reliable builds out of it.
Locust... underwhelming, but you have to pilot that thing differently than any other Light Mech the IS has to offer. I was fully aware of all the information about these from details provided by the Devs, much like I am fully aware of the details I am getting when I purchased the Wrath Resistance Pack... even though PGI created a non-canon variant. I'm still down for the money I spent... from Founder's to Phoenix to Resistance. No Clantech for me
