So yeah i'm not happy with the clan camo's that came with Wave II.

love all the skins they look great but wow the colours?

I picked up all 4 camo's for the colours and stuff etc.

The thing that's making me sigh is the colour palette. I can only change 1 colour and it only changes a band on the arm or such.

Why can't i have a pink panther and use the CSJ camo and put purples and pinks and whatever colour i like across it instead of just changing the arm band?

Come on PGI i was so excited and then to get this..... it's well, err frickin demoralising is all i can say. So much potential and such a lame result.

Lets not even go to that place where my 30% c-bill bonus invasion mechs can't even use a camo scheme.

For future reference PGI, unless i can change the camo colours to my choice for all of them and my invasion variant can use them. There won't be considered any bonus.

IE Resistance poack i got the Panther pack, the reasons to upgrade won't be influenced by faction camo as such as of course they can't use it on the 30% c-bill boosted mech.

So lets see, Run my 30% c-bill boost mech or play one with a camo, which i can't really change colours on?

No brainer there.

No camo variant on c-bill boosted mechs means no buying of MC to buy camo's.

Why cut your own throat PGI? why not make camo's so the 30% c-bill mechs can be camoed also? How much money are you missing out on by making these mechs not able to use the freebie camo's or even the ones already in game?

Now I gotta go find my topic I created that answers some questions and concerns people have about the Camos but was ignored because it was helpful and wasn't a rant thread.

If you want the colors unlocked thats fine, but some other stuff was already addressed. I can see why people missed it, because it was in the december roadmap and I can't ******* find it myself.

the issue is, invasion mechs have a unique geometry, and so require a unique camo to be done for, yet it really is weird that the I mechs can't use them, which kinda destroys the feeling for CQ when people wanna use the clan camos.

The unique geometry is unwarpped and fully textured for both the (i) and regular variants. ie the texture sets are fully interchangable and do not need a unique camospecs to be done for the (i) mechs. Well at least for wave 1 and pheonix mechs. I haven't inspected wave 2.

Founders mechs is a different and do require a unique texture due to the geometry changes.

The HBR-Prime(i) has different shoulders but is identical to the other Hellbringers otherwise. The shoulders aren't even colorable, they just stay "Default Clan Grey". The Gargoyle Prime has different face and arm geometry. Those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.

It does make me a little sad that non-invasion clan variants have so much unpaintable space. The Phoenix mechs had one special scheme for the Phoenix variant and one for the other two mechs. While not fancy, you can at least paint the entire mech.

I bet the HBR shoulders will be the same as the BLR shoulders. Which means you can swap the mtl file and the normal texture will correctly cover the HBR (i) version including the unique geo.

The GAR is the only one where I think the normal texture set might possibly not be interchangable.

I see no reason whatsoever why the colours should be changable. They are basically the colours of the clan: a uniform.

The thing is with uniforms from any walk of life, be it the army, navy, police force or the girl guides... they are always the same. It is why they are called UNI-form.

I know someone will say that they aren't uniforms worn by soldiers etc. but they are the paint scheme to which the clan adheres. Armies, navies and air forces the world over stick to a paint scheme as do the police, fire services and ambulances. Ultimately, these are the colours of the clan.

Also, clan pilots are brought into this world through cloning and have it beaten into them that they fight for thgood of the clan and not the individual. Individuals have differing paint schemes, cogs in the machine do not.

The current clan camo specs on offer aren't necessarily the colors of the clan they represent. Only the colors of one of the galaxys in the clan. Your appeal to neckbeard is flawed.

Current Clans camo represent a Galaxy, not the whole clan.
For example the camo used for the Wolves is the one of the Beta Galaxy, the Alpha, and Delta Galaxy use different pattern and color.

The same goes for the other clans.

Please let us change the colors!

Why give us color palettes (many of which are color i had already and have been renamed, but lets talk about that some other time) and these cool camos if they are gonna just be stuck and non changeable?

Just is really dumb....

Clan camos vary quite a bit from galaxy to galaxy, yeah. The Wolf camo we have is the Silver Keshik, Beta Galaxy.
