Edit: Update: Finally was able to get into a defense match after a long wait. Also noticed a quick flicker of information about CW on my home screen afterwards... Still figuring this all out.


I've tried several times (as a solo player with no unit) to launch a match in the new CW. All that happens is I sit, alone, in the match making queue and no one else seems to enter into the lobby.

So far, I have (as a Davion loyalist) tried to defend Apollo, and waited over 6 minutes.
I have tired now to defend Elnath, and I'm still waiting after over 4 minutes.
I have tried, with other similar times, other planets, attack and defense. No one else seems to join my lobby to the contract.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Suggestion for PGI: Maybe include some kind of tally/marker to tell people where other players are on the CW map, so we can improve our own chances of getting matches? Such as "11 Apollo" or something, to inform us "11 other players are defending Apollo".

Update:

Since just before this post, Apollo had 1 attacker victory. Since then, I notice it now has 0 attacker victories. This means that the defense one a match... I'll sit on Apollo for a while and see what happens.

Hum. After staring at the lobby screen again for over 6 minutes, I just realized that my pilot name doesn't even appear as a member to "drop". I'm not assigned to any lance yet...

As a solo player I am unable to find a match or get CW to work...

Ok so I am in and the attacking team is full but we seem to have no defenders...

Edit 2:

Map launched but no defenders... Still - map looked cool

About what I got.

You just seem to have to wait a while.

Pay attention to the bottom right of your home screen when you first load in. it tends to tell you "such and such planet is in need of your help".

I've clicked to defend as Jade Falcon to defend Caledonia but I just sit in the lobby bymyself just waiting for others to join...

30 minutes over 4 tries, 2 with a unit, 2 solo,... I'm getting desperate,...

I got in to a match and there were some problems:

- Defenders with advantage
- FPS drops and lag
- Ridiculously low rewards for time spent in match
- Farming AFK mechs dropping

But all in all it was a lot of fun

I look forward to them getting this off the ground, but yeah I think they need to look at the matchmaker because its very hard to get a solo game.

I had some trouble finding matches too. Best advice I could give is to try a different planet. I've only been able to find matches on one of our contested worlds

I've tried 3 different planets (including ones that I was notified about in-game) and waited 20 minutes... nadda.

There aren't going to be a lot of community warfare games tonight, not like this.

I'd have to say, for an average time of preforming 3 matches, I get close to 4-5 matches worth of rewards. I think the rewards for CW seem well adjusted. I seem to be getting a lot MORE for each match of CW I in C-Bills and Exp. CW seems like a good place to level a mech amongst your roster of elited mechs.

So far, I find it takes about 10 minutes of searching to find a group. Though this is long, remember that CW is still in Beta and problems are expected to come up.

Que is substantially better now. Been solo attacking with my clan. BIGGEST PROBLEM IS FPS DROP during 3-4 of whole match. Top priority

I'm having issues connecting myself. I get the notification to attack/defend a planet, jump in the queue wait for a stupid amount of tine and then get disconnected. Am I doing something wrong?

Cannot find match. Maybe an explanation on how this works? Are we doing it right? No feedback, no meaningful queue information. PGI - HALP US PLAY YOUR GAME!

Same here, I get notifications that I'm needed to attack or defend a planet but when I click on the message and click on attack/defend I get nothing but an empty team roster and a timer just ticking away while I do nothing. I'm playing solo, but CW should be open to lone wolves as well as the groups.

Said it in closed beta, going to say it again now. The freaking match maker is a flawed concept!!!! Twice I waited around 45 minutes to play a CW game, and have yet to play one.

This game need lobbies! A lobby system would fix CW as you could then see how close you were to launching a match. You could also play multiple times with your group, and it would be a cake walk to get them on coms and play as a team. This random match maker BS has got to go. The matchmaker never worked well for this game, and it is even worse when trying to use it in CW.
