If IS is defending, especially with all their quirks done, don't even bother attacking unless you're another IS faction as it's just an invitation to be disappointment and this is not even getting into the bugs that everyone is dealing with right now.

The other 'mechs, be it IS or Clan, do get quirks TO BRING THEM UP TO THAT LEVEL of competitiveness, so we all get (at least technically) fair fights with whatever we want to/can bring to the field.

You know what happened? We reaches the first gate, small skirmish follows. Then 8+ laserpuking Madcats storm out, eradicating our first wave without any losses. They didn't even need their defenders advantage. Rotating to B with reinforcements, same rush happens, the Clans are just to mobile to outmaneuver. The sad push at C didn't even deserve it's name.
Ended 48 to 8, and only, because the clanner just tried to steal each others kills and otherwise stopped trying.
No way in hell this is ever going to be balanced with the current systems. IS vs IS is pretty damn cool, but i certainly won't play vs Clans in the near feature. It's not even like that was a horrible experience or anything, more like a waste of time, but I just can't see how that's going to work.
Playing against the odds can be cool, that's something i saw in the match. Playing a match you loose with a 90% chance before the first shot is fired? Less so.

interesting, i play Clans
and ive played 5 CW matches today,
2 Attacks, 3 Defends, Clan lost all of them,
one of our losses
im not saying Organized teams of TBR's arnt a thing to fear,
but any team thats not a large pre-made is seeing losses,
at least from my experience,

Interesting, i might take another look. Still every player willing to play to it's advantage will get overpowered equipment, and the meta will definitively develop into that direction. :/
Other clan-mechs aren't that much of an issue, but madcats, and in extension crows, deliver insane speed and firepower IS mechs will never even get close to.

Well, to explain :
IS AC : Single shot, perfect for poking
Clan AC : Salvo fire, forget poking
IS Lasers : Shorter range, shortest beamdurations, again pefect for poking
Clan Lasers : Too hot to be used in such numbers to make em count, too long beamduration to have HSR accept them fully
Gausses : good on oth sides, no need to explain
Lurms: wasted tonnage in my eyes, but still situational useful
Range advantage :
Neglible for clanwarriors, since most IS counterparts can close up faster than Clan can keep range
And don´t even get me started on the woefully tipped scales on the light segment ... the balance between IS and Clan ligts is non existant, so why even bother .
Mechcustomization :
IS = ultra Omnitech
Omnimechs = IS level -5 (2049, )
Basially a clanwarrior needs to hold longer on target, needs to expose himself more, needs to hug the shutdown line harder to at least keep up with IS machinery .
Balanced ?
Not really .
Get off of the easy mode stickhorse and look at tings HOW they are, please, thanks ggclose .
