Also status of planet if currently contested would also help.
Maybe also a list of factions as to who can attack and who can defend if possible.
I would also ask about the idea of knowing any historical changes in say the last week so that we could report on some of the dynamic changes occuring based on the timestamps of these occurences.
Other useful data might be amibient temperature and other planetary details as given in the planet info screens.

OMFG yes - its come up 10 times in conversation already today that what is needed on THIS website or another, is to see what happened gameday-yesterday (such and such changed hands after X assaults took place, much carnage was had - that sort of thing). A daily news of map changes would be much appreciated

I second the motion. And the previous two as well. All posts present very good ideas.

I'm glad to see that this was already posted when I dropped in to suggest it.

(Possible future developments may include an emulated MWO map based off of this data aswell as the hopeful idea of seeing the number of successful attacks logged against a planet if and when this API data is made available).

A suggestion would be to display the change between the updates to show how desired a certain planet is.

Will consider it DF.
I like the KISS Engineering of this tool for purposes, if I was to start looking at the dynamic relationships of these things I wouldn't be happy until I had a page full of graphs and perhaps started using lots of space in the DB server for historical records etc.
Case of priorities for now but will keep it in mind, ty for the suggestion.

There was one point when I thought I might have to restrict access I was getting so much traffic.
Hopefully PGI will embellish the community with further API files to make use of. Though I have developed some interesting parsing tools for player stats already that allow the Dark Born pilots to compare their applied data with mech builds aswell as seeing their performances with various metrics and pretty graphs.
The Dark Born also have a diplomatic database that records unit data and allows for quick linking with websites, twitter and TS links as a communication tools and to maintain unit references in relation to the unit. Also looking into ideas surrounding the idea of recording drop data, awards, bartering system and potentially other interesting technical solutions that can aid unit management, intel and communications. Though some of these may of course be limited to the Dark Born and allied interests.
It will be interesting to see, if with the evolution of MWO, the full scope of logistic, political, economic and geographical related information for CW will be made available in addition to pilot related data.

It's so good to see all the different tools that the community are making with this data - there's been quite a few discussed over on OutreachHPG. I've been collecting all the links in to one location (just added yours): https://mrbcleague.com/cw
