How do you even get games during a solo drop? I got the little flashing message, "Planet X needs help", figures why not so pressed the buttons to join. But then nothing happens. Tried for a few planets, then just stayed in the lobby for one of them. I have been waiting for 15 minutes now with no names showing up in the drop list or anything? Why is it calling for help if there are no players available anyway?
There should be a way to join every planet queue if you just wanna game. I don't really care what specific planet I'm on, I would just like to try a game of CW....

Exactly the same with me.... I would like to play at least one time the new mode today.

Yay, finally got my first game. Solo drop. Match score = 276 (highest of all players in the match), dmg = 1605 (highest on my team, but only second highest in the game, one clanner had a higher score of a massive 2111, though lower match score).

Take that dissers of solo droppers! (Though I sometimes play with a friend who is consistently better than me :P )

But the framerate! my god, it hovered over 20 the entire game, something is really messed up with the code, since I get around 50 during fighting in normal games.

CW is definitely for Lone Wolves.

The queue however....

It only takes so long to read all the forums.

CW is a blast even for PUGs. But the UI and stuff needs work to help everyone get into battles.

Defense is friendlier to PUGs 'cause attacking needs more coordination to overcome the defenders, but it's still a blast either way.

How long is the wait. I tried to drop a couple times but would stop after about 15 minutes and no one else showing up. Now knowing that other people don't show up till filled I realize leaving was not a good idea. It also shows need to fix this bug ASAP as others have said.

CW is designed for 12 man premades on voice comms. If you drop solo, you will get matches against premades while your team is full of pugs with no comms or coordination.

CW is high level team play, and does not cater to small units or solo players.

Didnt Russ state the intion was to try and give solo players a roll in this?

I also still see many twelve mans in the regular pug ques over CW though.

A good cordinated and drop deck prepared four man group on the attacking side can win the match verus the no so orgainzed pug defenders.

I will say this again. People need to read the forums.

There is a display bug where it DOES NOT SHOW people who have qued up for the Planet so even though the lobby looks empty, there are actually people in it and the match is building up to start. This is or at least was sticky in the "Know issues" thread in the CW section of the forums. By dropping out of the que and hopping around you are just increasing the wait times and make the problem worse.

I waited 10 mins. 20 mins or more might not be uncommon with people giving up and cancelling all the time.

When we stopped running as 12 man, we gave the pick ups the comms info. When they joined us all went well. When they didn't it went to hell. Not sure if they didn't hablo or what, but just wandered around either not pushing or doing less than 300 damage between 4 mechs.

You can have fun as solo, but if you end up with a larger group you will get allot more out of it if you get on coms with them. (if they don't mind, but don't know ANY that would say no if you asked)

If they did less than 300 damage with 4 mechs, comms would have done nothing at all for them or you. Its not hard to follow the group and focus fire/support your lance/company, even without comms. If he was running into a wall for 30 minutes I don't think it was communication he was lacking lol.

Yeah sorry I did not read that sticky thread of "Known Issues" that may or may not actually exist, my bad. I will do better to stay well informed about information that might exist.

CW is actually better for Solo/PUGs, at least the gameplay is better.
The 12 mans talk tough, but they are really lowest common denominator, they simply take the most expedite route to victory (the team I played on (as a filler) was all light mechs all with arty/air-strike, they essentially suicide bombed the base and won.

The trick is finding a solo planet, there are a few threads where pug all line up on a planet, plus the NGNG teamspeak has a room where everyone adds destination tags, so you can see what planet is active.

Sorry didn't mean to single you out but I have seen dozens of post complaining about no one showing up in the Que and you would think that the first place people would look when they are experiencing problems like this would be the "Known issue" sticky at the top of the CW section hehe.

cant connect :(
In other hand - i got only 1 friend i play with. And ordinary group making is not working now, to get in one match (we chose one side). And we can't create unit, because there only two of us. I understand that this is teamplay based game but 1st - im in defferent time zone so i cant follow most big clans game times, 2-nd i dont get so much time to spend on this game and community, 3-d I dont get lots of friends... that's means that I just in the end of the list after all clans and units  life is sad

I honestly wish they had a CW broken up with a separate non-group PUG que. Played a drop last night where it was a mix of small groups and soloists against a 12 man and we held them for 29 mins and almost pulled out a victory. Most fun I had in game in a long time and this was with zero coms and coordination on my team. Hell people were even actually really communicating via text chat on my team and it just gave me the feel of how the game COULD go if CW was standard drop mode. Really wish we had that game.

Not really solo friendly either. Half of the time facing 12 man premade. Disheartening.

Played four games last night. All the games were pugs vs 12 mans. 2 invasion and 2 defense. 12 mans won every match. This has been my experience so far.

For finding a match, go to where the alerts say and expect a wait until the alerts are more relevant.

And yes more than ever this game has a way for casual players to drop in and play and also get to know the other guys in faction over time just through casual play. The regular queue before was totally random and learning who your allies are was pointless and impossible. This game mode will promote team play alot more, so dont let the guild pushers bother you especially with the addition of this mode. No offense to any cool guilds out there having fun.

I've played 3 matches solo and for now I find it's way more even gameplay than what I get in the solo queue. Because gone are the new players in trial mechs, the players in CW are generally at least decent since they've at least played enough to get 4 mechs elited/mastered to drop with. And since we all have 4 mechs, 1 mistake doesn't tip the balance of the match so heavily towards either team. You can drop in your next mech and level the playing field again and get a second chance to do better. So if you lose, it doesn't turn into meaningless quick roflstomps. That's basically what I've been asking for ever since I started playing MWO. Sure I would prefer to win, but a hard fought loss is more fun than a really easy win as I see it. And with CW it seems the chances of that happening has increased.

dropping solo has made the wait time pretty long in some cases. However even going against a 12 man isnt that bad its not like they are better just because they are on TS or something.
