It seems CW is easier to drop when you have a full group of 12. Currently only a Unit group can drop in CW. Being able to fill up that group with others from your faction would be awesome.

This absolutely needs to happen. The only time we had great success is when we managed to sync drop with other folks on our same TS bringing our team numbers up to 10 or so. It makes more sense to allow folks in the same house to group up than it does to try to game the system by sync dropping. If you make this happen then the game mode becomes a LOT more fun.

This is a great idea. It allows people without units or in small units to be able to participate much more in the game. I know that I would fully appreciate this feature.

You want to participate? Be in a TS and be in a Unit.

Explain that gradually to newbies and the problem with cease to exist.
Stop crying to moma so that she fixes it for you.

Not everyone wants to be part of a unit nor does everyone want to be in some huge unit that has lots of drama.

Some of us just want to be a band of brothers who are small but strong. Some of us want to represent forces not readily apparent in this rendition of the BT universe.

Should we be punished because we want to represent a minor Clan or a periphery power?

With your line of thinking, everyone should just join the big units and that way there are only a finite number of units affecting the CW map.

If you knew anything about the lore of this game and the universe you would know that there were MANY smaller units who played important roles during Operation Revival.

Faction Chat/Grouping is absolutely essential to long term success of CW. Right now it's not apparent what an individual player wanting to partake in CW needs to do (the planetary alerts help, but when you sit in an empty lobby for 5+ minutes, it gets discouraging)

Allowing that kind of coordination before hitting a lobby will help immensely.

If this isn't high on the dev's priority list already, it needs to be.

Agreed.

I saw this as a shortcoming of CW from the start when details started coming out. Smaller units of the same faction need to be able to group up (in TS as well) and load up a drop ship for CW. We play with several other Steiner units regularly, it would be cool to be able to group drop with these other units.

If this doesn't happen I think the next logical step will be smaller units forming "coalition/alliance groups" where they all retain their identities in different lances/stars/brigades but are dropping under the same in-game unit tag for CW purposes.

I figured that this was how CW grouping was going to be, group with anyone in your faction. made sense to me, not sure why groups are limited to unit only. :/

Something like 85% of units can not field a 12 man group. We should be able to creat group with other faction members.

We need to be able to drop with our friends, allies, and fellow faction members. Do not punish (paying) customers who like small groups.

There is no reason to favor the few large units in this. They still get the 12 man advantage. Give us faction play.

what about some kind of quick grouping option to allow a player to create a group of an even number (2 through 12) that anyone can see and anyone can join assuming they are aligned with your faction?

So I can go in and create a Marik quick group and give it a label ("attacking pella II")

Other marik aligned folks can see a list of these quick groups and join in.

All players have to be aligned with the faction of the group's creator. You don't need to invite anyone, you don't need to friend anyone, you can just quickly form a group and go on the attack or defense.

these quick pick up groups can then fight each other if they want, coordinate with another pick up group or they can just pick a planet and fight who ever comes along.

I wouldn't even mind a mixed faction group. However, their attack/defend venues would be rather limited to clan/IS worlds. Think of it like the Summerset Strikers. They were a mixed faction group for the most part...

We just all need the ability to play and coordinate together. Otherwise there will be so much complaining we'll need a group and pug server like regular matchmaking and that doesn't make a lick of sense. Allowing everyone to play with their own faction means everyone wins! Pugs can drop with friends and allies, units can drop with friends and allies (especially when they're short) and we're all happy.

You mean like the random teams made of small groups and solo players we have now?

I agree absolutely, I actually tried to synchdrop with friends from another unit yesterday. And I thought the synchdroping days where over.

How about if we drop with mixed groups we do not get credit for "taking" the planet for our unit? Problem solved!

If you want to get your name on a planet you can stick to your unit, and if you just want good drops you can group up with other same faction folks.

even I don't agree with mixed faction. Least make a way for random faction members to group up and play together easier.
