pgi. plz delete this 3333 rules and make this 140-240 tonns for all gamemodes.

sometimes bad with wrong mech in wrong map^^

After having played 13 matches today (12 qualifying) I do have some feedback for Community Warfare in general. The challenge hasn't been too bad.

-Wait times have been somewhat extensive, but not terrible, all things considered. On top of this, as far as the challenge goes, scoring 80 points is not difficult as long as there are not incessant mindless rushes to simply eliminate the gun generator.

-The bugs are somewhat prominent, but they're expected for a Beta test (not to mention the crunch to get the feature out the door). They're also not game breaking (for the most part . . . anyway).

-When I click to defend a planet, I expect to be defending. Of my 13 matches, only 2 were actually defending the planet. I've spent almost the entire time on contract to the FRR (expecting to help defend it as a mercenary) attacking the clans?!? Maybe it's just bad timing on the matches, or luck, but personally I'd like to see a bit of a tweak to the system where if I say I want to defend, then I get to defend.

-I have noticed (and I've seen it noted numerous times so far) a very common occurrence of being a group of pugs against premade groups. I realize community warfare is supposed to be the "hardcore" mode, but I think there is a solid solution to preventing this gameplay imbalance. If each faction has 2 planets available for conflict on each battlefront, make one for group queue and one for solo queue. Rotate each "attack cycle" which queue is attacking on a front, and which one is defending on a front. However, make sure that both queues have at least one attack and one defend planet available somewhere, so people can queue up for whatever mode of play they'd prefer to be on. This still keeps CW the "hardcore" mode of play, but it prevents the game mode from almost explicitly favoring the organization crowd for quicker matches and "better" gameplay. It will also promote more competitive play and truly better matches across the board.

just look for planets with previous battles in the history of the planet that will at least give you a gauge of whether or not people could be in waiting rooms

Defending a planet also means attack places that been taken already by the enemy so its just valid to counter attack.

yesterday we had more *hold territory* battles on attacking a clan-planet than actually attacking it lol.
but its fun either way =)




to people that complain that its not possible to do this challenge solo: CW was never meant to be a solo-thing. if you expect anything else than long wait times as solo-dropper you really did a massive mistake.



to receive 80 points for this challenge is easy enough tho. getting 5 valid battles should be no problem for anyone.

Nope because then some geniuses would bring 2 Assaults only and 3rd and 4th attack wave would be ****** up.

harden the rules:

max. 240 Tonnes AND 1/1/1/1... i am bored of seeing 1 Timber, 3x Crows or 2x timbers, 1x crow and a ecm kitfox.

Looks like Clans didn`t have any other mechs around.

(ok at least i see some dires too)

challenge completed in my first 20 matches, didn't once fail to qualify. great challenge PGI loving this last week in MWO

(Oh and I done this on solo, waited 4 mins for a match if no match I come out of lobby and try again) using this method I done the challenge quickly.

I didn't qualify 11 times, attacked maps with just turrets.

4M dropped without redeeming items. strange. but it's there.

Wish I could have taken part in this. But my computer froze every time I tried to drop into a CW match.

Sent a support ticket and haven't gotten a response.

The mere pittance of the top tier helps you to get one module for one mech. If you buy a cheapie module you can get one with leftover C-bills and GXP. Whoop dee doo dah day. At a minimum we need multiple modules for 4 mechs, Average and I'm guessing here that the average pilots stable is likely 40 mechs.

Add a zero on the end of both the C-bill and GXP rewards and then you will be helping.

The reason this challenge irks me the most is that it is preventing people from playing valid srats for CW. It promotes peek and poke type play.

I really have better things to do than watch a timer increment while waiting in a lobby.

Is this meant to replicate a real-time attack? 3 days of waiting in the dropship to reach a planet?
