Which is 100% okay - we weren't there. Davion in general didn't show much the last 2 days. You've taken 2 worlds, one yesterday and one today, right?
Davion is hard pressed right now. You'd be stupid not to press that.

Wait, whoa, what? I see a sword and shield next to your name, but then I see you blame ghost drops for flipping a planet. I'm confused. I thought the party line was that ghost drops had no effect? You might want to call up the Fox's Den to get your story straight, brah.

If we'd had people to spend we'd have rolled them back. On disputed worlds they have little, if any, effect. They are however critical for the situations done just today - Davion flat out didn't have the people to fight Liao off, not with Marik rolling up one side of us and down the other. So Liao was able to move in and take a world with minimal opposition.
I have absolutely no issue at all with that. My only comment was that someone was saying 'Davion ghost-dropped it back down from 100%', like somehow that was some evil, sneaky trick. It's not.
I've got no issue with ghost drops - I don't do them personally just because I don't have the time to waste, I hate turret stomps. I'll drop and go somewhere else or go pug queue. They have their place in the game though. Generally you only see them being significant on off hours.
Which is another issue, the need to not have this prime-time rush thing. Had 4 hours to play today after Ceasefire, did I play CW? No, of course not. It would have been an utter waste. Every faction has euro and off-peak players who may as well just go pug; they have little if any impact on CW.
To wit though, ghost drops didn't flip the world. They flipped because Davion didn't have the people to defend that world available (or they were, inexplicably, dropping on the Clan front instead of defending Davion). Someone not showing does not equate to the attacker having to just leave the world be. 97% of the time it's active player drops that decide matches though.

No, see the ghosters were green, not yellow, so while they didnt flip the planet, they were the reason Davion lost the planet.
There, fixed that for ya.

The Davs were fighting the Mariks as well as us the last few nights. The wins on the FRR/Steiner front are coming from a handful of really good merc units joining those factions.

Please defend your terroties properly before you talk of rolling them back. I had only one ghost drop yesterday, most of the games we simply won. That a Davion is whining cause there were not enough people to defend the planets makes me laughing. How did you owned most of our planets?

You realize I was congratulating you on your wins, right? I've said, repeatedly, no issue with Liao taking worlds be that in straight up matches or drops on turrets. It's gone both ways. All I was saying was that earlier someone from your side was complaining that the 100% taken on a Davion world that was walked up (legitimately) by ghost drops got.... walked back a bit by ghost drops, because the attackers (Liao) went away. Like somehow turret stomping down what he turret stomped up was TOTES CHEATERZ.
Now that Liao isn't at a significant population disadvantage on the Davion border and actually has more people to put into those worlds it's all 'we NEVER have turret drops to win, it's all fights we won in straight up battles. It's only turret stomps when we lose'. Huh. Funny how that works.
Issues with timezones aside there's no shame in winning. You guys spent weeks bitching about how it was never fair and always 1 sided and clearly it was all a broken system.... now it's in your favor and you're talking trash. Turret walks are, will be and need to be a part of the game. They represent numerical superiority. That goes both ways as populations and busy fronts come and go. A win is a win. Timzeone issues need fixed because a set 'crunch time' sucks but otherwise it's all legit.
Props to you on your win. These 3 won't be the last until another border changes or populations shift again, then we'll probably come plowing back into you.

Interesting additional note: When we have a higher number of people to throw at our border, it's the same "Well, *I* only got the one turret drop last night! System seems fine now!" The trick is that the team with more people on a border isn't likely to experience that many turret drops per person, regardless of how many happen.
If you get any turret drops during peak times in NA, be assured that you are going to win the planet unless everyone in the faction is hilariously bad. This is the joy of the token system. Until you can gain ownership on defensive victories, the system is bad. Every win should count.

Chewing on that one too. My concern is that CW doesn't directly generate revenue for PGI, not like mech sales do. This will affect how interested they are in complex solutions. Dragon still has massive AC arm even with no AC mounted. Not a coincidence. Quickdraws still have bad hitboxes. Not a coincidence.
So the question becomes what solution is going to work best and probably just involve tweaks to the existing system. That has the highest probability of seeing the light of day in the next 2 years.
They seem to need a 'ceasefire period'. I'm not a fan of 2 ceasefires per day. Maybe just a shift to 30 zones, requiring 15 wins, then doubling the time for turret drops? The problem there is that population is still going to decide it by 1 or 2 wins. The ideal solution would be a way to require wins be taken to a point and held for a set duration; this eliminates any sort of 'crunch time' if you make it 6 or even 12 hours - longer than most people can spend. Nobody is going to go poopsock for CW every single day. This largely eliminates the ability of 12 people to grind up a win in 2 hours and call it good.
Likely create its own issues though. I've yet to settle on a solution that is both simple and effective.

Unless you are whatever unit SCA is, I just dropped with them, I recommend they go join Davion.
