The defending force has a planetary-defense guass cannon, so they really ought to be able to shoot down the dropships coming in to deliver the attacking team.
Bringing too much logic into things starts being a hazard to gameplay.

Also when fighting over a planet, both sides switches between attacking and defending alternately. There'll be complaints about being able to use arty one match, but not the match after. We'll have to keep switching modules every match?

just stop clanners being able to use airstrike and arty as it is dishonourable
