Those complaints would have been true, and very valid. If we were still in 2012-2013. However, so far (2014), PGI has been pretty solid on every subject they've approached.
While I understand your frustration over things that have happened mostly a long time ago. Discouraging new players because you're disappointed is not a healthy approach, and honestly it does not offer the player anything helpful or useful. Instead it sours their mood, or their approach to the game..
The game is in a healthy position now, CW is moving on (They have repeatedly said that CW is still in it's beta phase right now, so it's not ridiculous to expect problems with it), PGI is communicating rather well with the player base. In fact, I'd say it's stellar. Community input is being considered more and more, and so far they have not missed a single deadline without a clear reason (in the rare cases where they did).

I didn't realise that buying things that I can comfortably afford makes me a stupid person.
But wait, I can still pay my bills, I can still feed and provide for my family.
Why does investing in a game that provides me entertainment and in a small way helps to develop and keep the game going make me a stupid person?

New players tend to pug, if they're not pugging then someone with group connections got them into the game and likely into the groups they run with (Meaning they don't make these posts).
When you give new players the premade group POV you're just lying to their faces, they're never going to drop into a well organized team with set roles and plans. They're going to drop into a clust3r7uck where they're solo players assigned to a group that isn't really a group. And they get consistently screwed over until they quit the game for something that doesn't stress them out.
By giving new guys the group perspective you're giving them unrealistic ideas about the game, better off being honest straight up.
If you're a new guy without a premade voice coordinated group...you're boned AT LEAST 50%-70% of the time, the wins and losses are nothing to do with you, they're entirely down to the vets who drop on alt accounts in a match and wreck the whole enemy team...or more commonly the team with most LRM/ECM wins by default.
Pug and hate/enjoy the game for what it is like I do or group drop ASAP like a lot of others do and vanish into the CW/lore jerkfest.
Your totally random spurging of weird paranoia really is inapproriate to the New player help forum as it in no way helps or was even aimed at the person asking for help, but at the people trying to help them. I play 2-4 hrs a night in the solo, group and now CW groups and have never experienced any of your random assertions... yeah sure the game is full of alt accounts farming the queues... sure.....

I'm guessing you've not played in ages or paid any attention to what has happened this last year....

(srsly tho, if you come back and read this Alex, hate it didn't work out for you. Better to do something you enjoy if it's stressing you that badly)

Right shift + F11 to turn your HUD back on. Not sure how you turned it off.
Also Cockpit view gives you a minimap. Third person does not.
Finally, pressing B will bring out the full map. Pressing Q will give you the status on all allied mechs. Pressing R will target the nearest detected enemy if the enemy is currently detected (it's selective in that it will target the one nearest to your crosshair).
Hud off.
Old HUD bug, because it makes life interesting.
On this video, skip to 6:40 or later. Battlegrid (map) use to coordinate players.
A little bit extra help... King of the Caldera; Thermal Sharpshooting with Advanced Zoom module.
Also this Spider Insta-kill by the same "Dire Cow."
More HUD-less fights, for those interested.
Atlas versus Dire Wolf.
Highlander versus Dire Wolf.

You're just not very good. Please read more threads and watch videos. After each match do an internal assement of what didn't go well, and what you can change. Capitalize on what your good at, and try to tie in other concepts.
