You guys do realize that clan society was in fact modeled after the values of the third reich?
Class society, eugenics, superior and inferior humans, the uncompromising approach of superior technology and firepower, the complete dismissal of individuality and the large emphasis of duty to the state in a predetermined function rather than personal choice.
All of those are not only fundamentals of clan society, but also fundamentals of national socialism.
Even the mythology of the clans shares a lot with fascist mythology.

Even if I would want to, I just can not play on that side.

Why is every conversation on the matters of clans, inner sphere, and community war fare with a FRR person always a nice and pleasant conversation? It's just making me like the FRR more and more.

Anyway. The King Crab can kinda do Direwolf builds... start to think off it a lot of IS mechs can mimic clan mechs. The only problem is there is nothing that can do 13 energy hardpoints. or 12 (or less) E hardpoints with 4 ballistics.Etc...

I really wish the king crab can be used in CW by clans... THe clans got more functional king crabs then the Inner sphere atm in 3050 =C

Technically, there can be no nepotism as there really is no parentage, just lineage. Which, by the way, they are inordinately proud of. Clan society is a totalitarian nightmare unless you have been bred to be a mindless testosterone-fueled psychopath. The difference between an inner-sphere warrior and a Clan barbarian (and yes, you are barbaric no matter what you dress yourself in) is that he can turn it off when the battle is over.

For the Clan, it's just murder after murder after murder all the while patting yourselves on the back for how brutal you are. "Honor" is a false concept in the Clans. It's the "honor" a murdering gang pursues.

Worst thing Stackpole ever did to the Universe was add the Clans. Unforgivable in my mind.
