A new consumable to dump down a smoke screen to obscure vision and heat vision on the battlefield. Very useful for attackers on CW trying to push up in the choke points.

Good idea. Or, on a similar note, an EMP artillery strike that scrambles sensors i.e. mass ECM for 15 seconds/30 seconds/whatever.

I support smoke barrages to give attackers openings.

I agree the red smoke screen isnt very effective, would rather have an actually obscuring smoke screen.

PGI has stated the it is a good idea but it will couse FPS drops on the weaker computers so it isn't in the game

I'm sure they can come up with strategies for how to have this work when the game is run on a toaster. This is really needed for attackers to get some dynamic cover during a battle.

Milder damage, smaller burst radius, increased smoke for the WP.
Current heavier damage/wider radius but nearly useless smoke for Strikes.
Dig it.

I love the idea.
Some people REALLY need to upgrade their PC's so everyone can have these nice things. Hell, look at what we had in Closed Beta. My PC is 5-6yrs old, a 1st gen i5 and while i have some framerate issues on 1 or 2 maps under certain circumstances, the game plays really well on high pretty much all the time.

As someone that's played on both sides of the CPU fence, I can tell you that the i5/i7 series runs MWO waaaaaaaaaay better than anything AMD produces. It's not necessarily that many peoples computers are old or poor - it's just that this game is poorly optimized, and runs like *garbage* on AMD.
