Happy to mfh647! Glad you can join us. Do you have any Mechwarrior or battletech experience?

Welcome to the game. Just a warning: This game is very difficult, it takes a lot of time. However, it's been very fun for me, and I enjoy it.
So don't worry when you have a hard time with the game. It's expected for your first 200+ matches, actually.
Also, Your first 25 matches, you get extra cash. Save all of it. Your cadet bonus will help you buy and upgrade your first mech.

Welcome my Bangladeshi friend.
May you have many happy battles with us.
I'd be interested to know what ping you receive when you play.

Welcome Friend to the new world. Feel free to ask questions in the forums, oh and no question is silly for a game that has a steep learning curve.

The West side of mount Thor is a good illustration of this game's difficulty "curve"

Hello and welcome to MWO. I'm Koniving, and alongside Redshift2k5 and many others we are always happy to help you out.
Battletech/Mechwarrior experience will help you get into the game more easily, but I find it is not required.
I hope your English is good. The fastest way to get information is through English.
However, if you speak any of the languages listed on the International Threads more fluently, you can use those as well.
I would like to give you some of your first advice:

However, if you speak any of the languages listed on the International Threads more fluently, you can use those as well.
I would like to give you some of your first advice:
- When you log into the game, click "Home." Now click "Testing Grounds." Choose any map you want. Play here (where no one can shoot you) until you are comfortable. Practice shooting the empty mechs. See what it takes to destroy them.
- When playing, stay close to your allies.
- Your team has Blue OR Teal-green 'triangles'.
- Your enemy has Red triangles.
- Mechs with No Triangles are 'hidden' enemies.
- Shoot the same place on an enemy until it explodes with a distinct / unique sound and visual effect. Only then is it destroyed.
- Lasers are hot.
- AC (Autocannons) are not.
- MGs (Machine Guns) lie. Do not trust the 'bullet' effect, point directly at the enemy just like a laser.
- The "R" key allows you to target an enemy to get information. You must do this before "LRM" or "SSRM" weapons can 'lock'.
- Push B to get a big map.
- Push H to get Thermal Vision.
- Push N to get Night Vision.
- Push F4 to get into first person view.
- While in third person view, there is a giant 'Drone' floating behind your mech with a big flashing light that says "Shoot me" to all your enemies.
- Look over the Options menu carefully.
