All, or most, of the viewscreens in my cockpit say this. What does it mean?

It means that PGI hasn't gotten around to programming in-game content on those monitors.

They're just fluff anyway. Use your HUD and minimap, and perhaps the battlemap sometimes.

Same thing modern tvs and monitors show when they have no signal.

Mission kills display also not updatable.

^ actually, the heatsink display and the mission kills display both work (at least... on some mechs, not sure all.)

The ammo counter works too. But when you're spectating another player, it will show your ammo figures on his monitor.
