*bump* I hope PGI will fix this problem ASAP, and reimburse our premium time because the game now is simply unplayable.

How could they when they haven't even acknowledged that there is a huge problem.

And how could this happen in the first place? Once upon a time after the SRM fix hit detection was pretty ok for all weapons. After that, just sheet. Don't they have enough bandwidth to send enough ticks between the server and the client or what the frack is going on?

Since cw update my ping has doubled (from 150 to 250-300 ish) and I have had hard time hitting enemies with laz0r

I remember hit reg in the week following the HSR fix for ballistics back in Open Beta. Man that was a good week...
Sure it only really last a week before going to heck, and sure it cause the rise of the PPC Gauss meta, but it was still one of the best weeks of this game so far.

Pretty shocking this wasn't mentioned in the townhall. And that this topic has been ignored here as well.

Might not be ping related issue but game is unplayable for me due this.

In addition to hitreg problems I have been having really high ping lately (250 to even 500ish) before cw update my ping has been solid 150 for last 6 months.

I asked the question a few times at the start, seems like they don't want to answer the hard questions, which is a shame PGI was getting better with this type of stuff

Ever since the patch that was supposed to fix the hit box on IS mechs such as the spider and Firestarter things on my machine have not improved with the CW release. It's quite laughable just how bad the hit reg is and have never seen it this bad

This is something that absolutely needs to be addressed

With the old server I had a constant ping around 40 and hit registration seemed decent. With the move to the new server my ping jumped to over 50 and sometimes spikes to over 150 with lag/warping mechs. Never had this problem before. I have also been experiencing poor hit registration even with a low ping.

I've noticed:
Dual PPC/ERPPC not registering at all, even with Red Cross hair, explosions and damage glow on the target mech
Any laser not registering at all or needing to lead the target, same conditions as above
Random ballistic hits not registering, same conditions
LRM/SRM seem ok

The weird thing is it comes and goes. Some matches it seems to be great and my damage spikes. Then for no reason it seems I can't get a kill no matter what I do. Nothing worse then seeing a red center torso, Firing, seeing it hit and no damage registers. Then they Fire back and you watch your armor peel away and think WTF?

There has to be some kind of sync issue with the server.

I circled a Cicada in my Stormcrow (we both were round about 90%) and kept MedLasing her and that stupid thing simply didnt lost its armour.
We circled each other with a distance of about 80m or so.
She blasted with LB5X and my lasers were nothing more as shiny funny lights on her armour, even with red croshairs, glow and all the shiny thingies...

In the end, that 40t pile of crap nearly blasted me to shreds (after about 1 full minute of circle-o-rama). But lucky me, a comrade in arms showed up and helped me out...

Hit reg is brocken.
Not only for those virtually indestructible Firestarters and spiders who seem to eat doublePPC and DoubleGauss for breakfast and keep having their armour anscathed..

I don't know what's going on. I run primarily light mechs (mostly my Oxide) and I now have the survivability of a lemming. EVERYTHING hits me in my jenner. (Spider and Ember not so much) I also regularly ping around 90 but have no problems, however lately I can pound another mech with SRMs and barely scratch its armor while I get ripped up by someone randomly firing at me through a rock...

PGI, PLEASE STOP IGNORING THE COMMUNITY'S BIGGEST CONCERNS. (I had hoped that was an IGP thing. See? There's an out for you to rebuild the relationship right there. Just blame the bankrupt, horribly mismanaged ex-publisher.)

THERE ARE MILLIONS OF PERSON HOURS OF FREE LABOR WAITING FOR YOU.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TALK TO THE COMMUNITY.

MANY OF US ALREADY PAY MONEY FOR HALF OF A GAME.

WHAT MAKES YOU THINK WE WON'T HELP?

...I...almost...give up.

Hit detection not being acknowledged is incredibly frustrating, currently the hottest feedback threads in the "Patch Feedback" section are about this issue. Russ has seen the video, been hounded on twitter the past week and still no mention of it.

We aren't asking for weapon balance or new mech/quirks etc. All we are interested in is getting hit detection back on track. To allow us to have fun games again. If that does not illicit an acknowledgement or a statement from PGI I don't know what is.

The community is sitting here and saying something is VERY WRONG and should be looked into.

Come on PGI, let's fix this!

Same issues here. Didn't have them so much before. Mostly it's clear hits without targetting indicator flashing. Yesterday I blew off a sidetorso off a Direwolf, yet my targeting reticle said I didn't hit. Kinda odd seing parts fly while being told you didn't hit at all.

Ping on my end 100-120 usually, never had this many problems before either. Also seing ERLarge lasers doing odd dmg lately, at 89%, torso barely scratched on an Atlas, getting hit by 2 ERLarge Raven and my CT is cherry red cored - AFTER I am in cover the dmg gets 2sec later applied?

There certainly are issues, but I'm not sure what's the cause - HSR I guess?

Hey everyone,

We are aware of the hit registration problems that are being reported and are actively looking into them. The release of Community Warfare has caused an increase in both server CPU usage and bandwidth usage, additionally many users are reporting decreases in framerate and increases in ping which are very likely related to these changes in server performance.

The HSR algorithm is related to all these factors, and so this very likely the cause for the most recent hit registration problems.
