I,m only asking this because, well if it is going by the timeline and adding the clan wars at a later date then the Word of Blake would make a sound inclusion in the game just because of the Jihad against the entire inner sphere if they are going to add a Galactic war game type anyway with planetary control this would be an amazing feature if added. As well as the Words own battle mech the Ragnorok would make an amazing addition to the game as long as they remove some of the insane features it had in MechAssault.

It'll be almost a decade before they rise, unless there's a time jump or content still gets made that far ahead then no.

i am not sure if they keep their speed with the timeline as it is now, but if then we won`t see any word of blake or jihad for 16 years, since one day in real life is one day in the BT universe...
but i can imagine they might speed things up later on for such implementations. guess we have to wait and see what they have up their sleve

I didnt realise it was going to be set that way timescale wise but in fairness that does sound much better thanks for the info guys. How do you guys think they,ll influence the game with the Clan Wars such as House Kurita being Heavily crippled during the early months/year of the war just wondering interesting to hear other peoples take on these things.

Uh right lets hope not. As far as I can tell the 'wobblers' as far as the franchise goes are kind of rediculous especially when you get into the manus domanei and so on. Even if they were to be added they would be a tremendously long way off.
And house kurita crippled during the early months fo the war? Are you sure your reading ANY of the cannon source material for the clan war or the succession war?

In August of 3049, the Inner Sphere began to hear of mysterious invaders using advanced technology, beyond that of even the Star League, in the reaches coreward of the Free Rasalhague Republic. Small periphery realms disappeared from contact and mercenary units were annihilated (including a detachment from the elite Kell Hounds). In March of 3050, the invaders struck at the Inner Sphere proper. The invaders, known as the Clans, cut a swathe through the Lyran half of the Federated Commonwealth and Draconis Combine and absolutely devastated the Free Rasalhague Republic.
I knew it was one of the Factions that got owned by the clans but wasnt sure lol

i personally thought everything after the clan invasion was consistently downward trending in terms of quality. not a big fan of word of blake, even less of a fan of the dark age stuff afterwards
so yeah if they only cover the preclan conflicts, then the clan conflicts, then the period of random skirmishes between everyone after that, i'd be happy.
word of blake was to me was a way to re-vitalize a dead franchise by making wholesale changes and tearing everything down, and it didnt even make sense. you're going to have a huge religious uprising? really? and somehow no one noticed this faction was growing in power from 3050 for twenty years and it tears through every other faction out there? nice.
word of blake might have been the biggest retcon ever. i hate it.
i realize this is a strong opinion, and there will be those opposed to it, but there is a reason every mechwarrior game stopped at the conclusion of the clan invasion. because that was pretty much the height of good storytelling for the franchise.

I would have to agree on all of that mate just at the time of putting up the topic wasnt aware of the timeline timescale segment they had in place for the game

but when sections of timeline dry up with any of the conflicts at the time they should make time jumps
