Right now, the answer is: get in a group. Bigger groups have very, very low wait times. Also, don't stay in queue for more than 5-10 minutes, because some planets have a lot of matches going on, while other planets have very few matches going on. Without any way to tell one from the other, just keep switching planets until you find a busy one. Don't stay on one planet for 30 minutes.

what you need to do is get active in your respective community so you can coordinate where they need bodies either attacking or defending. you dont need to join groups or even join a unit, but you at least need the intel on where the fight is.
in addition to this, hopefully the fixes to the CW UI friday will make it at least more obvious where you can find a match.

How did you manage to find a CW match in just 15 minutes ? Are you a personal friend of Russ or something ?

Yeah no, that's bullshit. I frequently hang out in House Davions Teamspeak, and sync-drop with several larger units who field 5-8-10-12 man groups every night.
I just sat for literally 25 minutes on Hoff, while listening to a battle go on through TS, up to the battle end and the entire 10 man group queue again for another battle. Active attacks/defends on either side, and this group gets into another game within 2 minutes. I'm still sitting there listening while multiple groups get through on games.
I really want to like CW, but this seriously sucks and is garbage for the MAJORITY of players who will be soloing. Community warfare means being part of a larger thing, done right like in Planetside 2 where you don't have to open a third-party piece of software to even figure out whats going on, not being forced to join a clan to even GET INTO A MATCH.
It's really disappointing, but my bet is on PGI not listening. They seem to have an incredibly hard time doing that.

Launch again. Match
Works every time. If you don't hit it in 5 minutes, you're not going to, so leave the queue and start over.

Frankly, the game is more fun once you find a unit you like and can mesh with... hopefully tomorrow's patch will help a little, but yeah, very hard sometimes to get a drop solo, so I joined a unit... hoping things pick up...

Join a group.
If you're not part of a unit that can field constant 12 man groups, you're NOT the target audience for PGI. Keep that in mind. The only people that matter to them are the organized units that keep shoveling money at them, regardless of what they do.

Although for my part I have only waited for a match post 30 mins once. I check the forum prior to selecting a planet to see where some action is. 5 Mins max is what I wait, if nothing happens I cancel and try again. There are exceptions of course but It usually takes less than 7 mins to get a game.

maybe because your in a larger faction, davion having a very large player base, your actually waiting on other factions to get enough people to form a game i dont know, all i know is im having the opposite experience you are. coordinated drops result in very low wait times.
wait until tomorrow before you start whinning, see what they can do with their first patch.
