I think this is just indicative of the underlying issue, Clan Jade Falcon shouldn't be invading Clan Wolf Territory and instead focus on taking out Steiner. What is occurring is LORDS is not having any respect which is creating strife between Wolf and Jade Falcon and of course this strife is going to overflow so that it effects all Wolf and all Jade Falcon, not just one unit that want to in a way, "grief" the game strictly because the game allows for it and they can.

Honestly what I would like to see is LORDS who I would love to respect for their successes against Steiner (but can't as long as they are being jerks), focus on driving on Terra just to see if we, the Clans, can actually accomplish it. I mean this game isn't going anywhere so and it seems like there will be plenty of time for the great CJF - CW conflict to take place down the road once we have thoroughly trompped the IS and have a few hundred planets under our respective control rather than a few dozen.

Yeah, they need to see that Clan Wolf tryied to attack the defenders at a gate and slowly kill them without the turrets attacking them too.
And in the same time trying time from time to sneak up at another point.

That is sooooooo against the rules. :rolleyes:

In fact, I will take this a step further. The stronger PGI makes the attacker's dropship lasers the more the noobs will camp spawn.

edit: While its true the DS's only spawn when mechs die, once they lose momentum they will fall back to dropship cover. Again, timid teams or teams that refuse to fight will have more reasons not to attack.

The Beta won't end until all of these things are tried and noted though, so more power to em I say. Show all of the shenanigans possible, see what merits fixing and what's simply going to have to be lived with and move forward imo.

  • find a acceptable rule set - that makes it impossible to burn the clock in extremis

That's mainly what I'm hoping for. I believe the current compromise that is in the system is not conducive to this.

Personally I would be fine with a timer that if there are no engagements between the teams in 10 mins the game ends so that if an attacking team decides to not push out to attack game over, or if the gates are not opened in the first 15 mins of the game.

I'm quite happy if teams want to waste their own time camping. We will get out and engage them.

What needs to change is PGIs process of easy access free win turret games, that's the real problem.
